Gaoth Dobhair book first Donegal SFC semi-final spot

Gaoth Dobhair have booked their place in the Donegal senior football championship semi-finals after a 1-18 to 1-15 win over Sean MacCumhaills at O’Donnell Park this afternoon.

The sides were level at half-time, 1-08 to 0-11, with Aaron Kelly finding the net for Sean MacCumhaills.

Gaoth Dobhair took control after the break, with an Eamon O’Colm goal proving a crucial score as they moved clear.

Sean MacCumhaills battled to the end, but Gaoth Dobhair held on for a three-point victory to become the first team through to the last four.

Today's other quarter-finals in the Tir Chonaill County sees St Eunan’s face Dungloe at MacCumhaill Park (8pm), with holders Naomh Conaill playing Kilcar in Ballyshannon tomorrow at 2.15pm before St Michael's meet Glenswilly at O’Donnell Park (4.30pm).
