The recent mass exodus of club football managers in Mayo continues with the news that Aidan Kilcoyne and John Brogan have stepped down as joint-managers of Knockmore.

The duo spent two years at the helm, only missing out on Moclair Cup glory this year after losing the SFC final to Ballina Stephenites. They join a long list of managers who have stepped down in recent weeks, including Barry Moran and Neil Lydon (Castlebar Mitchels), Martin Connolly (Westport), John Reilly (Kilmeena), Tómas Morley (Ballaghaderreen), Tom Mulderrig (Ballintubber), Martin Maloney (Garrymore), Peter Mulry and Michael Gaynard (Belmullet), and Peter Ford (Ballinrobe).

“After two years managing our club senior team, our managers Aidan Kilcoyne and John Brogan have made the decision to step aside,” Knockmore said in a statement.

“All in Knockmore GAA would like to express our sincere gratitude to both men for their work. The club is incredibly proud to have our former club players step up to the management role and we wish them all the best in the future.”
