I'd fancy Cork to beat Tipperary and got a hunch we will draw Tipp away .

Cork and Tipp is a semi final? The 1st round qualifier does not include teams that lose a semi final. So I am afraid that hunch wont work for you.

anyway it's Wicklow in Aughrim. Team that finished bottom of div 4 and shipped 4:25 yesterday against Dublin. On the other hand They had a good win in the first round of Leinster against Offally and Anyone could ship that amount against Dublin .Also This game is in Aughrim. Will there be any music festivals on that weekend, I wonder ?

It's unfortunate that Cavan did not draw a far stronger team for sadly the punter has to dig deep to follow this extremely very poor Cavan team once again. The unfortunate thing is the punter will have to fork out again for there is only going to be one result and that is a Cavan win. Lets hope they get a stronger team for the second draw to save the punters from having to fork out anymore money this year to watch the rubbish this Cavan team are dishing out. The U20 no point in talking about them.
However good at least that John Brady his u17 team and management are playing trojan stuff long may they continue. Maybe time that John Brady got the senior job for next year along with Tom Cribbins maybe the quality players might be called in and not ignored.

Listen,

You are obviously very hard up. Take a break from the match in Aughrim. I'm sure the team can do without your abundance of optimism for one weekend.

I was there the last time and it was not pretty - weather wise or result wise. Lets hope to avoid a banana skin, it might not be a simple as some people are thinking.

I have complained about Matty and I don't think he is the man for the job.

But seeing as he did get a relatively mediocre bunch of players to Division 1, I will give him one more chance.

But I think its fairly clear that if he doesn't surprise everyone by getting us into the Super 8's. That feat is still realistically fairly achievable if McVeety is back and finding his league form, and we avoid Tyrone and Mayo.

If we don't, then he has to go as soon as we are knocked out, and be replaced by a mgmt. team that includes someone with a knowledge of the full player base in Cavan and holds the respect that he could get all the best lads on board, plus someone/some people that are tactically astute/experienced enough to prepare a team/defence that can keep us watertight and competitive against the bigger teams.

As well as the obvious defensive frailties, lack of a game plan and erratic substitution policy, the decision to put Mackey in as captain ahead of vice captain for the year Ciaran Brady was something that made me doubt Mattie is fit for the job as much as anything else he has done or not done this year. Unnecessary, stupid, like something that an under 14 club manager who is only helping out because his son is on the team would do. Nevermind a lad who is getting paid handsomely.

Can SJ repeat the heroics of the last time we played Wicklow? Will he have to? Who really cares?

See what happens when you have a manager that has a clue about tactics and organisation.

My thoughts exactly.

Fair play to Fermanagh, the pride and passion of the players were a joy to behold, makes you wonder when, if ever, we'll be able to enjoy days like that.
