Would like to see Bolton get it. Think he would be really good as a captain.

Surely it's Johnny with Leper as vice captain again?

Can't see any reason for changing it.

Agreed. It has to be johnny. It will probably be his last year so he should keep it

On second thoughts I would go with Johnny being it his last year, would be a shame if we won something and JD wasn't lifting it. I would however go with Bolton as vice captain considering leper's injury problems.

I would like to see Foley as captain. Always raises his game when it matters and if rarely found wanting.

I fail to see the point of putting JD through the slog of the league. I hope they look to keep him fresh for the summer months. Use him sparingly in the months ahead and we should get a good summer from him. He has had too many knocks and niggly little injuries in the past few championship campaigns.

I agree there's no reason to change from Johnny, look at him digging out that ball in the last minute the last day. Calling that kick out towards the end of the game against Down. The man is a leader in every sense of the word. Young players couldn't ask for a better example to follow. As for vice-captain, is Leper going to be fit? Really there's Foley, Conway or Flynn - all established senior players now from that same U21 team who also would well be able to fill in when required.

Johnny no question.. Surprised it's even up for debate. Even if he does sit out the odd league game either Leper, Bolton, Foley or Morgan could deputise. JD is going to start every championship match I'd wager a bet, looking at how fit he was the other week v Wexford.

I think Seanie could be a contender after his performance last Sunday. He showed the most leadership on the field of play.

ruff, You might be ruffling a few feathers here with your choice of Seanie as captain.
