Kildare give away home advantage for 2 games...

(Oldest Posts First)

In my opinion Kildare have put money ahead of their own, and will play the home league games versus Donegal and Dublin in Croker. Not helping campaign to stay in Div 1....thoughts?

If somehow, we could manage to stay up this year. Take money in from these 2 games, and use that to fix up St Conleths.

It'd be well worth losing two home games, IF we can stay in Division 1.

I can see us getting points against only Down away, and Kerry and be lucky to get something against Tyrone.

Ah it's a disgrace. We're a county lacking a lot of success so why would we even consider giving away home advantage to a better team? Money talks

Money does indeed talk and in this case very loudly since we are desperately in need of it to do an urgent upgrade in St. Conleth's Park. Principle is all very well but if we can increase the attendance in St Conleth's so that in future years Kildare can play all their home game at home then losing two home games this year will have been worth it.

Homer: Twenty dollars? I wanted a peanut!

Homer's brain : Twenty dollars can buy many peanuts!

Homer : Explain how.

Homer's brain : Money can be exchanged for goods and services.

Homer: Woohoo!

Seanie's gaff to Newbridge

Just under a tenner return, I'm sure most of our other players are travelling further than that; players from north Kildare clubs and the likes of Athy etc.

It's only a few miles anyway from Straffan to Newbridge, I wouldn't begrudge expenses for that trip.

...thought Royaldunne and his elves were busy for Christmas ????

Nobody has said anything about him living in Newbridge.

Feel free to continue to misinterpret posts to suit your own agenda though.

A round trip from Cavan Town to Newbridge is 40 euro fuel I'd say, plus tolls. Fairly expensive 4 times a week. And could someone tell me who is the new kildare sponsor? Why is there no talk about it?

Why would he be driving to training from Cavan when he's living in Straffan with the sister?

Don't believe everything the red tops (green and gold may be more apt in this case) tell you young man, learn to make up your own mind about things.

Nobody can tell you who the new sponsor is as we don't have one as of yet, talks ongoing with DHL though after Man Utd bought them out of their training gear deal a few months ago. They obviously see potential in turning us into a similar global brand.

The Meath boys have woken early from their hibernation and they are still obsessed with Seanie! Maybe he can give them some advice on playing Div 3 football next year.

Bit harsh there if-in-doubt !! I don't think he's trying to misrepresent, I honestly think he really doesn't understand. Have you not read any of his other posts when he came on to Kildare forums ?

Maybe you're right.

Instead of having a go at these types of posters, maybe we should instead dumb everything down to a level they might understand to make things easier for them.

Season of good will and helping others and all that...

It'll be hard work and we might never be able to get down that far.. but sure worth a try.
