Injury Update

(Oldest Posts First)

Anybody have any news about injuries or players returning to fitness , would be great if you could post here , Kildare forum on Hoganstand deserves one of these threads at this stage considering the amount of injuries incurred by the Kildare footballers over the years , ATM , Kildare's main injury worries are Flynn and Leper both ruled out for Saturday night and Leper's case possibly for the forseeable future but that hasn't been confirmed yet or anything like that , Flynn struggling with a groin injury , same as Leper but hopefully he'll be back for the Sligo game with both being available for the Quarters should Kildare be lucky enough to get that far

Hard to know with both Flynn and Leper. Both were togged out last sunday and were warming up during the 2nd half.

This would be a good thread but unfortunately all you will probably get are rumors both from supporters and half truths from Kildare management. For instance there is a perception out there that Darell Flynn is carrying an injury. One of my best friends who is a big Moorefield supporter and knows Darell well met him before the Meath game and asked him how his injury was progressing. The answer he got was " What Injury ". Darell has taken a full part in all training sessions for the last few months. I believe that McGeeney is of the opinion that he is not mobile enough !!!

I hope bringing Leper on for the Meath match so soon after his operation hasn't aggravated his injury.

I feel you'll be proven to be absolutely right , I have also heard within the last hour that Leper's injury isn't serious , he is carrying a kncok picked up in training , wont be risked this weekend but will be available there after , knock he has suffered unrelated to the problem which needed surgery in the US , hopefully both Daryll and Eamon will be back for Sligo game if Kildare win on Saturday evening

If we beat Limerick and we can get Hugh Lynch, Flynn and Leper back in time for the Sligo game we will be in a very very good position.

indeed Suncroft funny that before the Cavan game there was a lot of negativity about Kildares chance , within a few days prospects for the team look positive , the lads have a great chance to get to the quarters and its important they take it , Kildare should be beating Sligo and Limerick every day of the week being honest , but calmness must be maintained and feet kept firmly on the ground , the games still must be won , but Kildare do have a golden chance to have a real go of winning this competition with not to many teams standing out

Especially when one of Kerry or Tyrone will go out of the Championship this weekend.

Anyway, if Kildare are what they are really made out to be, we should be beating Limerick and Sligo without much hassle, because the likes of Dublin/Cork/Donegal would do that.

And who knows? If we get to the All Ireland Quarter final we might get a good draw such as Mayo (no disrespect, but all the qualifier teams will be hoping for them) and if you get to the Semi Final, anything can happen!!

But anyway, the team should not look past the game against Limerick on Saturday. If we 100% focus on the game we will win.

After the depressing feeling after losing to Meath, things are looking great now at the moment. Only 2 games from the All Ireland series, and another great day out at Croke Park.

BRING ON THE FOOTBALL!

its true what some say about injuries in the squad we never really know what the truth is or whats rumours so we do just have to wait and see surely Mcgeeney sees that we need a bit of mending in the centre of the field. lynch and flynn together there would make a difference earley too surely has 20 minutes in him for centre field duty.

maybe someone will hear more after training tonight about injuries,
