In Thomas O'Connor Kildare have the best target man playing Gaelic football today showing great composure on the ball with great awareness and is one hard man to dispossess.

just look at the great job he did against Brian Menton ........ how many all stars does he have how many provincial medals does he have how many all Irelands does he have how many plater of the year awards does he have i think kieran donaghy might just pip him eh

Head4theblackspot well and all as Menton marked him (some of which was outside the rules) he still had a hand in at least 6 of Kildare's scores.

Thats what I'm hearing alright , game to be played in O'Moore Park .......great decision if it is the case , expect another massive crowed to head to this from Kildare , I know yous didn't win Leinster but the Quarter final stage is insight for Kildare if they are good enough to take the opportunity which I think they are

@kildarefan1988.. Yeah fair enough he played well yesterday but who are Cavan?? The game was over after 20 mins.. It's easy to play a "stormer" when the match is over.. What I'm trying to say is that he plays well against useless teams like cavan and laois.. He has never played well Ever against a top team in a big match when Kildare needed him like donegal last year.. And he did not have a stormer against Meath, you really must be joking.. Keiran doneghy is the best target man in gaa football end of story.. He has the awards and medals to prove he does it on the big stage when his team need him. And he can score,, o connor can't score end of. Fogarty to start at 14 against limerick..

O'Connor did score a goal against Donegal last year, remember? It was wrongfully disallowed. Anyway, it's hard to score with two or three or more defenders hanging out of you every time you go for a ball, a ball he invariably wins and manages to lay off.

It's easy to score a goal when the ball drops into your hands after hitting the post. All he'd to do was catch and kick.. Can you remember anything else he did in that game ?no either can he. It doesn't matter who says what cause at the end of the day he isn't up to it in the big games,, he only plays ok against bad teams..

When he came on against Dublin in the dying minutes of last years leinster semi, did he not catch a couple; I might be wrong but I think he layed one off to Callaghan and Callaghan equalized from it.

cilldara14, you clearly haven't a clue about football. O'Connor was one of the only players that played well against Meath, I really don't know what game you are watching. Ok maybe he doesn't score but he puts it on a plate for the other forwards! I agree when you say Kieran Donaghy is the best target man in gaa, but look who he has supporting him and playing off him - the gooch, declan o'sullivan etc.

Fogarty to start? Please other than a the Tyrone game - what has he done?

Well, I think the point is, when has he got the chance to do anything else?

Ye in fairness he he looked sharp on Sunday last from what I saw , and he didn't get great opportunites to show what he can do against Meath/Offaly

I agree he hasn't had much of a chance but to start him ahead of toc is a joke.

just thinking about the draw. if meath or kildare come through to the all irrland via the 4th round we will likely play a much tougher team than if we were to win leinster. probable teams you could play in the quarters would be cork, mayo, donegal and dublin.

if meath beat dublin the likely teams will be kildare, dublin, down and kerry/tyrone.

the best teams for meath would be mayo, kildare and down. For kildare it would be Meath, mayo, down.

ulster and munster finalists o the same side. i think the all ireland winner comes from there with a lot of teams capable of making it from the other side.
