No backdoor in under 20 unless it's changed.........backdoor in minor for losing provencial finalists.

There is a backdoor for losing finalists in Leinster and Munster. Losers play the opposite province winners in AI semi.

Kilkenny were miles better - could have won by a lot more.
In fairness in the minor semi two years ago - they could just as easily have come out with the win that day too.

I see. So they played one game and that's it. Not much sport in that!

There is a back door in U20 for the losing provincial finalists, as there was in last year's U21. It's actually more of a front door than a back door, as the losers go straight into the semi final as well.
The Leinster losers play the Munster winners and vice versa.
Tipp won last year's U21 title having been hammered by Cork in the Munster final.

Strength and conditioning is for life not for a few months. Your post doesn't make a lot of sense. I do agree its a lot of training for the prospect of only one match. But then again any team aspiring to win this probably has the same amount of work put in. Less work would of meant the loss last night could of been heavier.

Totally agree........developing players for the future is essential at this stage. Strength and conditioning is for life . The alarming thing is last night Galway had the pick of two All Ireland winning minor teams. You would be hoping a percentage of these guys would step up to senior in the next two to three years. I couldn't pick one on display last night.
This is alarming .....

Got the sense they were over trained be it s 7 c. They seemed to lack the agility and physical sharpness not to mention hurling sharpness. Very disappointing. Our summer is well and truly over now.

Not at all. Still think they are the best team in Leinster. This was Wexfords first Leinster title in 34 years remember.

Same for Offaly, who had already beaten Dublin and of course Limerick and two other teams in Munster.

That's a serious Tipp under 20 team.....albeit Waterford are hopeless. Galway a long way off the pace judging by Tipp tonight. Should be a great Munster final with Cork.

That Waterford aside were hopeless. They were awful at minor 2 years ago and have gotten worse if anything. Galway would have hammered them as well.
