Galway V Wexford

(Oldest Posts First)

This is the game for Galway to step up through the gears and lay down a marker before we go to Kilkenny. By my count we will have seven changes to the team that played the league game against a full strength Wexford team and we had Padraig Mannion go off injured after 20 minutes that day. A Wexford loss and they are almost out of the championship but anything other than a 4+ point win for us would be disappointing. We do need to sort out free taking while Joe is gone but I just cant see Wexford posing enough problems for our defence.

This won't be the team that will line out but this would be the team I would select.

I like the forwards unit of that team, With Glynn and C.Cooney interchanging like you suggest. Hanbury has been a phenomenal servant to Galway but I feel theres better that him now. Some very tight calls to be made either way.
Is the match televised? Don't think il bother going, too expensive.
