Could they give the number six jersey a rest for the All Ireland final as a tribute?

Rest in peace Tony Keady. However, September 3 has to be about Galway winning the All-Ireland hurling Final and nothing else. That's surely what the great Tony Keady would have wanted as a proud member of the last Galway team to win the senior All Ireland hurling title.

He was my Muhammad Ali, my Cantona, my Alex Higgins.... Swashbuckling, carefree, and untouchable in the biggest games. In my teens that Galway team was majestic, and their heartbeat was Tony Keady.

I cannot recall being so sad following an ex-player's passing. The Off the Ball podcast with Gilroy chatting to Lynskey and Finnerty is simply gold. Listen if you can.

RIP Tony Keady and thanks big man.

A Terribly sad passing.

I just wonder would anyone be able to outline any facts about Tony's club career.
