Best Club-Only Football 15

(Oldest Posts First)

Who is Kevin Walsh missing out on ? What is the "best of the rest" on the Galway club scene that are NOT on the current county panel for various reasons i.e. dropped, left themselves, retired, simply not on the panel etc.

Who is still good enough? Who should be tried and tested?

Where have some of these guys gone?

Anymore potential players?

What starting 15 would you pick from our club scene?

I know for an absolute fact that a good few of those men will be in the panel for next year.

And Horan would cost an arm and a leg. These resources are just not there with the old hurling board mountain south fiasco. I recall many calling for KW 3 yrs ago in the same way some are calling for PJ. PJ while an absolute legend like KW does not guarantee we will be further on in a few yrs time and maybe he is biding his time for a chance down the road. Who knows. On the list of players who could be involved some hopefully will such as Sean Andy. Others have being tried and tested like Michael Martin, Eddie Hoare and Paul Varley so really there are a lot less on the list who will probably feature in the future. On a lighter note you should have listed Kieran McGrath. Tommy K will be onto you pretty swiftly otherwise.

Do you honestly attend any games with some of them names you came up with only Sean Andy , D'Arcy and Cooke would make it on to the panel some of these lads can't even make their own club teams daithi and handbury will never leave the hurlers (would you blame them) others got numerous chances fed up looking at them average club footballers (bar Jamie Murphy who has being one of the best club footballers over the last 15 years ) some lads out of country ... come down from your attic and stop reading old programmes
