Hurling Quarter Finals

(Oldest Posts First)

Not to be tempting fate but the fact that hurling quarter finals are fixed for Pairc Ui Caoimh is a disgrace given the fact that we don't know the teams and the fact that one of the teams could be Cork. Frank has pulled another fast one. Corkonians love blaming frank and the county board when the team is going bad but we have had radio silence form the cork hurling public in the last few weeks.

Its a disgrace. Exactly the same thing happened in 1976 when Galway and Wexford were brought there for an all Ireland semi-final to help pay for the last Parce Caoimhe development. I was at a Cork hurling league match there around that time and ther were very few Cork supporters there. Obviously they want others to help pay for it. It really thumbs the nose at the supporters of the participating counties asking them to travel those distances.

Wouldn't expect Galway to be troubled by an All-Ireland quarter Final this year.

I hope you are right but I don't think it should bother us to be honest.
