Louth V Cork

(Oldest Posts First)

PointRoad is gonna love this. Another thread on Louth's league campaign of this year. The Wee County travel down to Leeside this coming weekend. Two years ago in the league at the same venue the Rebels won by seven points. Matches between the Largest county and smallest county in Ireland are few and far between. There have only been two ever Championship matches between Louth and Cork. The greatest day ever in the Wee County History was when Louth beat Cork on 22nd September 1957 in the All Ireland final as Ardee's finest son Dermot O Brien lifted Sam. Ironically the two sides would not meet again in the Championship till 2007 the same year when Dermot O Brien died. Cork won by two points.

Should have won that day Ollie. We were wining with 8 mins to go and Cork suddenly woke up. BTW all games probably called off now.

Ollie do you think that this terrible virus might have a good outcome for us. If the league is not finished surely they can't relegate us. A back door to the back door too. Another first for An Lu. The foot and mouth cost us promotion so the humans might help us when the animals didn't. We have to look for positives at this time.
Might not get to Ruislip next year but maybe Navan the following year. Give us a lift.

Joe Judgie played a blinder that day. He scored two great points. I don't know how many times down through the years that Louth should of won matches but just fell short. Look at the Louth teams of the 1990's? They lost six Leinster semi-finals in that decade. That's the most semi-finals that they have reached since the glory days of the 1950,s.

19616609 it's hard to know what do to think of this terrible virus. Uncertainty always brings fear to people. I just think it's mental with the way people are carrying on with bulk buying shopping. You would swear that Armageddon is gonna happen. Of course I will give you a lift. Where will I pick you up?

Today's announcement was vital too . All the bars and restaurants had to close . Follow the guidelines and look after yourselves and your loved ones .
