(Oldest Posts First)

Just read an article in the Irish Independent firstly about trouble involving Meath County Board. The author then goes on to suggest there is problems within the the Longford County Board.

It was a curious sentence. I saw no articles suggesting problems with the Longford board, just a change at the top

It was a resignation from the top in Longford with only a few weeks until the County Board convention when he was due to step down anyway. The reasons are not clear (may be personal), but it is not just a typical change at the top.

The board is in a mess, resignations stem from stuff going on that shouldn't be going on. A couple of people seem to hold all the power and are now under investigation. A ref may have been put under duress to change a report. Clean sweep all the dead wood.
