What do we think about Fermanagh on Sunday?
Last year's trip up there was one of the most depressing as a Kildare fan.

No idea if their style has changed (assume it hasn't) - we tend to struggle against defensive teams.
Here's hoping JOC has implemented a more kick passing game in an attempt to counteract those set ups.

Team sheet on Sunday will be really interesting.
It'll give us an insight as to what JOC is thinking and who he trusts.

Promotion is key this season and is the first step in what should be our priorities for the season (Leinster Final & Super 8's as the other milestones).

Really difficult to tell what way we'll shape up as the obc teams changed so much from game to game. Am hopeful that Jack and co. Know what to expect of Fermanagh, especially after last year. Missing a few still but we shouldn't be using that as an excuse. It's a strong panel of players, need to show it on the field. Quietly confident.

Im liking the look of the new panel. Not overly surprised Nash & Healy were dropped. Would like to see L Flynn back in after completing his army training.

Anyone know why Oneill is named with the midfielders rather than the goalkeepers?. He plays midfield with the club but always goals with the county

Conway out for 6-8 weeks
Masterson out of Fermanagh and Clare games foot in boot
Feely has tight hamstring might not play against Fermanagh
Bit of crisis at midfield

Midfield options without Feeley include...
Dave Hyland
Tommy Moolick
Paul Cribbin
Aaron O'Neill
Power
and a couple more

Hardly a crisis Cloon

Feely ok top 3.
But Masterson ahead of Moolick ? Not yet.
Who is the other guy in top 3?

Few injuries which doesn't help (particularly Feely and Conway) for today.

Presume Jimmy Hyland is fit? Is he just not starting? Hoping to see big improvement this year with experience gained last year and a manager more likely to encourage him to express himself on the pitch.

Lot of newcomers who I'm not familiar with. Looking forward to it - and the hurling beforehand!!

Win is crucial if we want promotion but style, performance and attitude is as important today. Let's hope for a change from the last few seasons.

trong front 8 today which is the main thing really, would have liked to see Keith Cribbin in the half back line possibly just for the little bit of extra experience in there. If Feely is fit enough for the bench then there's a case for saying he should either be fit enough to start or shouldn't be in the squad at all for the day.

Realistically based on league and championship last year and the McKenna Cup this year 10 scores should be enough to beat Fermanagh most days.

Only 4 players playing today who played in the league game against them last year - Neill Flynn the only forward starting again today and on paper even with the absence of Conway it looks a much stronger forward unit today that it did the last time we played them.

It's hard to imagine a new backroom team has changed their style too much from what it has been the last few years and as long as we show enough patience and determination and don't get caught up in anything off the ball we should be able to win this relatively comfortably.

Really impressed with both hurling and football teams yesterday.
Hurlers totally dominated. Good platform for rest of league.
Footballers were excellent too. Fermanagh a good team. They went ahead with 12 mins to go but we responded brilliantly with the goal and really saw the game out well. Something we never really do.
Impressed the way we worked thru the problems they caused us. We made the right changes at the right time.
Broph was superb. Con and Shea were excellent.
Kev Flynn showed dynamism we really missed last year.
Hope Hyland injury not serious.

Didn't think it was a convincing win but in fairness they showed a bit of grit to pull back and take the win. Good to see a strong impact from the bench too. I questioned Paddy Brophy's inclusion last week but in fairness he had a great game on Sunday, did a mountain of work and helped create Dan's goal. Tricky game to get over and great to go to Clare with a win under our belts.
Fermanagh will be no pushover for any team either.

Disappointing result for ye at the weekend....... big money being expended there so ye need results...........we had Tom Cribbin managing us......very genuine man and brought us to two Leinster finals in four years...not a bad achievement and was undervalued at the time

Do you think we should fire Jack??
Only 2 games played, we'll give the man a chance. I certainly think he was left with a lot to fix after last couple of years so will judge him on progress at end of league.

No I don't think that. I know Tom is a selector with ye. Just making the point ye have a good management team there.

More of the usual flakeyness from Kildare. Got a schooling on how to play against the wind in Armagh. Laois made them look very handy last week, we could hurt them at all. The home games are vital now, huge improvement needed.

Still shadowing the man instead of tackling. Geezer's guys were very aggressive in the tackle and that for me was the difference between the two. Conway really missed!

Jack needs to tell them to play the ball forward, Kildare are better than this
