True I suppose.

Cork can't win a dog fight in recent years but I felt Tipp would have won anyway just the week that was in it Cork put to bed early some people missed the first ten mins cork lad came in and asked me was scoreboard wrong he thought it was 1-04 to 0-04 points and now 4-01 to 0-04.

This is really poor from Denis Ring. Blaming the performance on club matches which were played a full week before the final. Not 24 hours, not 48 hours, not even 72 can hours, no a WEEK. And only 8 players at that, the rest played club games a full fortnight before.

No wonder the club game is struggling so much when it's being blamed by inter county managers for their own shortcomings."
Absolute nonsense from ring...I find it hard to criticize a man voluntarily trying to do his best fi r his county..but his sideline has cost this side an all Ireland in minor 17 final vs Galway and almost inconceivably last year's u21 all Ireland vs tipp..make no mistake last year's and this year's u21/u20 are good teams and no doubt will provide 7-8 senior players between them in the coming years..for the love of Christ these are 18-20 year old young fellas..they could play a championship game and go on an almighty session afterwords on a Wednesday night and be fit and ready for Saturday again..there was an element of cork supporters finding positives from last week's tipp game being the final nail in the coffin of ring potentially taking on the cork senior job..fair play to him for his service to cork but its time to move on and let others take the reigns

I wouldn't be surprised if Tipp caught up to Cork in All Ireland's. Only 2 behind in the Seniors. They seem to be ahead of Cork now at the different levels.
