Monaghan In AI Semi Final This Weekend

(Oldest Posts First)

The U15 development squad play Derry in AI semi final this Saturday in Emyvale. Game 1 at 11.30, game 2 afterwards. (there are two teams competing)

This team has beaten Dublin, Sligo and an excellent Down outfit in a recent cracker and play a fine brand of open, running football.

I'm sure the lads would appreciate a bit of support.

Best of luck to them. Unfortunately won't make it but am sure they will be well supported on home turf.

Are there A and B teams (U 15) competing both in semi finals?
Would love to be there but working and can't make it.
Good luck lads.

Yes. The As won by 4 points so are through to an AI final. Bs lost by 2 points, so it's unclear if they have another game or not. (Details of this competition seem to be super secret in that they are not really published anywhere).

Was at the semi final in Emyvale and hopefully get to Tyrone this weekend too. very good performances all over the field, very smart with the ball and didn't panic when they went down with the early Derry goal for example. Some standout performances from midfield half forward and full forward I thought. Hard to distinguish who is who to be honest when watching the game with the haircuts haha

I understand that the lads are under strict instructions not to consume any local or provided liquids. Only water sourced and bottled in Monaghan is permitted.

Oh, wait....
