The SFC should be more evenly balanced than previous years as it has been dominated by kilcoo and burren. Warrenpoint, loughinisland., clonduff and castlewellan have closed the gap but maybe not enough to lift the cup this year as kilcoo or burren still should do it.

Well ports and crans beat them easy in the reserves... can only see them coming out and looking to fight.

Hearing the first round of SHC fixtures are in Carryduff, bgalget vs liatroim at 5 and bcran vs pferry at 6:30. Have no problem with this, be food for Down hurling to have it in Carryduff, as long as the pitch is up to standard.

SHC - Ballycran's to lose. Ports next best.

IHC - Carryduff to win it easy. They've bate Bredagh 3 times this year an Clonduff haven't the experience at this level.

JHC - Ballela - the blood is up an they have a Point to prove.

Hopefully the ports get it over the line after last years near miss daithi will be a big miss but ports will be ready and fired up for the championship

Too early to be saying anything about the SHC. Lets leave it for a few weeks.

See Carryduff had good win over Clonduff. Youd have to fancy them for IHC. Carryduff have the measure of Bredagh.

Newry lost last years JHC by v little. If they can get other forwards to step up to help Paul Sheehan they should be good enough.

I strongly disagree with your comment about the IHC Clonduff who are not experienced as you say at this level went toe to toe with carryduff who have been playing at this level for a long time, carryduff done well taking there goals however I believe clonduff where missing there goalkeeper due to injury so an outfielder in nets done all right in my opinion, ballela will be there abouts a bit hard to not have shamrocks as favourites as they missed out now a few times in winning

Hopefully they get the grass cut and isn't suited for the footballers. Pitch got done up recently but personally don't carryduff will do well hosting this. 2 changing rooms for 4 teams? Where will crans and ports change to get warmed up while the 1st game is going ahead? Parking will be ridiculous on Saturday night.

TBH I prefer these games in the Ards but with Liatroim involved that was never going to happen. One of the Ards clubs would have home advantage in any double header. Carryduff has 4 changing rooms, a big carpark and 2 pitches. We're not concerned about playing SHC there. We played in RGU plenty of times.

I would also disagree that Carryduff will win the IHC easy, as from what I have heard they got the luck of the green against Clonduff with some harsh decisions going against Clonduff.
Would also not count Bredagh out of the race either as championship is a total different ball game than league. If they can get Donal Hughes firing on all cylinders he will be a handful for both Carryduff and Clonduff. On the other hand if Clonduff can get the hurling out of Sean Downey and Patrick Branagan that they are both capable of then they will not be far away.

Who's favourites for hurling championship and who'll make it to final ? It's gonna be tough always is league form goes out the window. Portaferry and ballycran final I predict with ports winning by 3/4 points

Never much between the teams, I say crans galget final, ports peaked to soon finishing in top half worked against them in Antrim league.
