Replying To macca999: "Today,as expected, was a step up in class from all games to date and it showed as all mistakes were punished by the efficient Tyrone attack. Started positively, plenty of possession however didnt make it show on scoreboard as has often been the case against stronger teams, then Tyrone grew into game and exerted control on it. From starting team today only two out of the forward 6 are actually forwards,so meant that on occasions players high up in position to shoot either didnt or when tried hit bad wides. Gaelic has evolved and emphasis not just on forwards but need more scorers as huge reliance still on Tomas Corrigan from placed balls,or Decky McCuskey or Aidan Breen to support with scores. Hopefully Eddie Courtney will develop plus Sean Quigley still to get to full fitness will offer more of a threat. Its not only Fermanagh but many other teams are building attacks slowly, with many handpasses and lateral movement, against team like Tyrone that allows them to set up defensive line and too often we had 8 men hand passing across 45 area with maybe 1 forward isolated inside. From today and overall McKenna Cup campaign some positives,Cian McManus has shown he is well capable to play at corner,Lee Cullen acquitted himself well,Aidan Breens fine form from last season has continued so far, Daryl Keenans return plus some promising cameos from Eddie Courtney and Thomas McCaffrey in forward line. Looking ahead, key areas is finding another player to support Eoin Donnelly in midfield,as teams will target him,Ryan Jones hopefully be back soon to help there, maybe Ryan Hyde, other option is Cullen twins. Other key area is more forwards to impact scoreboard other than Corrigan and Quigley,in 4 games we havnt scored a goal. Two weeks now until open tough Division 2 campaign in Newry,Bring it on!"
