Some of these fixtures are wrong. Kinawley are now playing Derrylin on Friday night & Kinawley are playing Lisnaskea on the Sunday with Derrylin being free, due to Kinawley's upcoming festival. Also, Irvinestown are no longer allowed to enter the junior B championship.

League game's this weekend involving Aughadrumsee & Derrylin have been cancelled due to Irvinestown disputing a result of a game between themselves & Derrylin on 8th of June which ended Derrylin 3-10 Irvinestown 1-15.

The story goes that Irvinestown appealed to the County Board earlier in the week disputing the result, insisting that they either won by a point or it was a draw. The county board dealt with the issue by contacting the referee in question & after discussion the referee upheld the final score, being a Derrylin 1 point victory, end of discussion as we thought, as the County Board threw the claim out.

Irvinestown have now appealed to the Ulster Council for a new ruling despite the referee already being adamant on the scoreline. Due to the division 2 split which would affect Aughadrumsee (6th) & Derrylin (5th) both these teams will not be allowed to compete until the appeal to Ulster Council is heard.

My question would be what has Irvinestown got to gain from this? What can the Ulster Council do about this? If something comes of it will any referee's want to take charge again? What of the already muddy club fixtures? Will it be chaos?

Good point raised but what's going on with CCC's fixtures as this is the 3rd amendment in as many days?

Donagh 2-15 Maguiresbridge 2-16 - Close call but most will be disappointed for Donagh!
Tempo 4-10 Ederney 0-7 - Very poor show - seems like a result you would get in U12s competitions!

Further fixtures amendments by the CCC...

Games in SFL 2A and SFL 2B involving the Derrylin and Aghadrumsee clubs have had to be postponed this weekend. This is because these two clubs participation in SFL 2 (Phase 2) is indirectly impacted upon by an Appeal lodged with Ulster Council by the Irvinestownclub against a decision by Fermanagh CCC to uphold a referee's report of a match in SFL 2 (Phase 1)

Ulster Council confirmed receipt of this Appeal, hence the short notice of these postponements. Apologies to all affected. All other games in SFL 2A & 2B go ahead as scheduled this weekend.

Also included in the attached fixture list are the Junior Football Championship (Reserve A & B) Quarter Finals. Could all host clubs please have their facilities in good order for Tuesday July 8th i.e. pitch cut and lined, scoreboard operational and dressing rooms opened in good time. If there is a difficulty with any venue chosen could the host club please inform CCC asap. Thanks in advance for your co-operation.

Remember championship rate gate fees apply!

League Predictions 2014...

Senior Football League Division 1

With Irvinestown and Lisnaskea being top dogs in phase 1 of the Senior 2 league promotion looks certain for both.

If Ederney aren't relegated given their dramatic slip in this year's Senior 1 league, Irvinestown look forward to meeting them in the 2015 season to get a bash at them and a big plus would be if we were to force the weemen down the trap door to division 2 once again!

Meanwhile, Enniskillen seem certain of returning to junior football unless there is a miracle and some more random success like yesterday when they thumped Belnaleck by a massive 7 goals and 15 points to a miserable lecker response of just 1 goal and 2 points!

Senior League Football Division 1

In an non exciting division 1 this season, Roslea seem set for a league title if they can outwit Derrygonnelly or Belleek as Tempo are too inconsistent and rather burnt out!

As for relegation it could be any of the five bottom teams with Newton and Teemore the more likely with Ederney, Donagh and Devenish not exactly out of the woods!

I see these games are listed as 'Play-offs'. Play-offs for what? Does this league even exist? I haven't seen a league table in months. Does anyone even know who is in the league? Teams conceding and teams withdrawing it's actually hard to know!

Maybe the county board are running it like the 'go-games' for U12's and below where everybody is a winner!

I Agree with Solano, Where is the league table? The teams in the league are Aughadrumsee, Belcoo, Bellanaleck, Brookeboro, Derrylin, Ederney, Erne Gaels, Maguiresbridge & of course Coa & Irvinestown have withdrawn from the competition (without punishment).
& yes, can someone advise what the 'Play-Off' tag is for???

So it's a weekend off for club players, but is it really I see the Reserve A and B championship Quarter finals are all on next Ztuesday so how have players really been giving a week off?
Onto Fermanagh, yes it was hugely disappointing and section A was such an easy group compared to what is in section B.
We should have a lot of travelling next year sadly as Tipperary and Clare are in the league. Westmeath and Armagh should make it interesting aswell.

I don't understand your argument as there will have been no adult football for a week.

As for the junior championship, how important is it really on the greater scale of football competitions when the successful club won't be able to represent their county as there ain't any Ulster provincial junior championship? The whole exercise is a bit of a lost cause and clubs would be far better concentrating on the league and senior/intermediate championships!

Just a comment, But why did clubs take last week off instead of this week. Surely giving players would rather have had the bank holiday weekend off, rather than the weekend before? or am I the only one that thinks this? Yet another show of incompetence than the county board

IrvinestownMk11 u are very wrong.
How can players for example go to Spain on holiday for a week and then come back straight into a Junior championship game?
Also get ur facts correct, the Junior championship for winners in Fermanagh ended years ago when the Ulster council took it off a Monaghan club who organised it superbly.
Maybe it's something a Fermanagh club could look into hosting as it's not run anymore???
