Dublin All-Stars?

I'm thinking the definites for Dublin are Cluxton, Cooper, Philly, Fenton, Kilkenny and Connolly and McCarthy and Dean Rock should be there but probably won't get it in the end. A year with a league win, a leinster and an all-Ireland should be reflected in the all-stars, not just what happened in the last two games. Although, I'd imagine the reason they are bias towards the final two is because they won and also the fact that they had more gametime to produce performances.

Cluxton
Cooper
McMahon
Fenton
Connolly
Kilkenny
Rock

That's who'll get in but we should have more for what we achieved this year.

The least the better in my opinion, its been a long hard slog this year and would prefer the lads got a break from football or media events for a while.

No doubt we will get at least five, but because they are voted by other players i think we wont get many, the sentiment down the country for someone else to win bar Dublin is at high pitch. Mayo will get a big sympathy vote as well.

I dont read to much into them to be honest and would prefer team silverwear to individual honors, how D. O'Connor got young player of the year over Fenton last year proved all I need to know.

I think Dublin All Stars will be:-

Cooper
Philly
Fenton
Kilkenny
Connolly
Kev. Mac. / Rock

Dont think we will get any others.

COS, Small and Cluxton will be close but can't see them getting the gong.

Surprised Jony Cooper was not nominated for Player of the Year also.

Although how a team which won sweet Fa**y Adam this year can get the same number of nominations as an unbeaten team who won Back 2 Back Leagues Leinster's and All Ireland titles - is beyond me.

Also, it must be a first that the Tipperary FOOTBALLERS received more All Star nominations than the so called mighty Kerry.
I raised a chuckle at that I have to say. :o)

I think O'Sullivan is a possibility as well.

Whether he gets an All Star or not, O'Sullivan is absolutely key to Dublin's defensive set up. I would rate him as our most important player along with Fenton. Nobody else can fulfill his role and without him, we would'nt have won the All Ireland. A total baller who reads the game better than anyone.

O'Sullivan and Fenton are fairly key players alright but Cluxton is still our most important player imo.

Of course, he's the greatest of all time, I was only referring to outfield players but you're right, Cluxton, O'Sullivan and Fento are the most crucial players.
