Maybe its my age and the experience of Black AND WHITE T.V [Hope thats politically correct], but its the Galway 3 in a row team of the sixties for me.

THIS IS BY FAR THE GREATEST GAELIC FOOTBALL TEAM EVER, THEY ARE THE FITTEST EVER, STRONGEST EVER, CALMEST EVER, THEY HAVE THE QUICKEST HANDS, EVER, THEY REACT QUICKER IN THOUGHT, EVER SINGLE ONE OF THEM UNDERSTAND THE GAME THEY ARE PLAYING 100%, THEIR TRUST IN THEIR MANAGER I PLAIN TO SEE, IT WAS ALWAYS SAID KERRY IN 70S WAS BEST TEAM EVER, WELL THEY WOULD NOT KEEP THE BALL KICKED OUT TO THIS DUBLIN TEAM, I KNOW SO MANY WONT AGREE BECAUSE IN DUBLIN, JUST MATCH THEM UP, DUBLIN WOULD BE BETTER IN EVERY POSITION,

It's the greatest Dublin team we've ever seen even though my personal favourite players would be from different teams over the years bar Cluxton , the great Kerry team which I did live through their era and went to see in the flesh would be a match were they born today and had access to same sciences modern training etc

Personally for me it's Wexford 4 in a row team from 1915-1918.

The Yellow Belly men would have beaten a combined team of the Kerry team from 1970s/1980s, Kerry 00s, Down 60s, Galway 60s, Tyrone 00s and this Dublin team managed by Micko with Heffo and Mickey Harte as selectors.

They were some team back when men were men and the Bishop threw in the ball. The snowflakes from the 60s on wouldn't stand a chance!

I'm over 50 yrs watching football and this is the squad I've ever seen assembled. No team in the history of the game had the options that Jim Gavin and his selectors have at the moment

If Mayo win the All Ireland do you think Jim Gavin would agree with you ? .. i think the 3 in a row would seal the deal re greatness,

Ah this is great craic , comparing teams down the years is a great way to pass the days until the big day ,
so ...
Would the team on Sunday beat the team that beat Kerry in the famous 1976 semi final ...?,

Cheers,

This Dubs team is the greatest of all time in my opinion without a doubt. There has never been a team as talented overall in terms of athleticism, pace, stature and with such a high natural footballing ability. What must be said though is that we have never seen such a level of "professionism" in the sport so it's hard to compare teams from the past as it's not fair and an argument for another day! It's up to this brilliant Dubs team to make it 3 in a row in a few weeks time and confirm that they are the best of all time. COYBIB!

This is all really a bit ridiculous ...Jim Gavin has proved he's no fool and his record suggests that he is not. Talking about today's Teams beating yesterdays Teams is also a bit silly. The game has changed, fitness levels are certainly off the chart compared to great days of old and the most important point is...Every match brings new challenges to every Team..Dublin have not beaten Mayo yet, although they should by all accounts. In fairness Lads and lassies..Dublin only had two matches that tested them. The actual idea of having a team 'peak' at this time of year is very hard to achieve...It looks like Dublin are the fittest team in the Country thus far. Up The Dubs !
