Dublin have been split in two!

(Oldest Posts First)

Sunday 2nd April 2017 - Football Monaghan v Dublin - 14:00 in Clones

Sunday 2nd April 2017 - Relegation hurling play off - Clare v Dublin 16:00 in Ennis

Which means Dublin GAA followers have to split thier loyalties and chose to go to one game or the other.

Am I the only only person annoyed about this?

We've been fairly lucky over the years to be honest as this hasn't happened too much. It's the nature of the calendar in the GAA.

I'll probably go down to Ennis if I go to either as it's by far the bigger game imo.

Trying to hit Ennis as game will have a big bearing on progression of hurling in the capital , one ear on the radio hopefully footballers can continue run. We have been fairly lucky over the years re travelling or having to choose code

Yeah it's a big game, although on the other hand a spell in 1b might not be that bad. Don't wanna end up like Limerick though and unable to get out.

Probably won't go myself but I'll have to see how the weekend pans out. Gonna be in Dalyer for a Dublin Derby on Friday night so mightn't be let out Sunday wha!

Ah that feels like cheating!

It is likely the option for the majority.

But any Dub watching the Dublin footballers on telly, down in some pub in Ennis, deserves free season tickets/parnell park tickets for pure dedication.

However, I have succumbed to the handier travelling option and will be going to Clones.

The only thing crap about football is the so called "fans" who regard the club game with the same disdain as women playing it or hurling - likewise with a section of the hurling fraternity. Sometimes its best to keep your ignorance/prejudice to yourself.
