Very good chance for another win I reckon. The forwards are playing great so let's hope the midfield and backs can repeat their form from last week.

It's a must win if we want promotion. Though it will be a tough game as everyone is writing Galway off. Surely they have one big performance in them? Hope it doesn't come this weekend.

This should be a strange one, Galway at home wont be a push over but we should have enough to get over the line.

Just the kind of game I could see us losing after an encouraging start to the campaign. It's a bit of a banana skin - although Galway seemed to fall apart against Laois, they've only played one home game so far, and that was a difficult fixture against Donegal, so I wouldn't be reading too much into their poor start to the year. We will need to hit the ground running in this one, having only clawed back results in the second half after terrible openings against Monaghan and Armagh. I've been impressed by Peter Turley this year, hopefully he will continue at midfield rather than in defence, and wouldn't mind seeing Declan Rooney in the full or half-back line to give a bit of stability there. We can come away from Galway with a win, but it'll by no means be the walk in the park that the Louth match was.

I think this game will decide were we finish in the league, a win and it's all go for winning promotion, a defeat and we will finish mid table. On paper we should win this game but Galway will be hurting after last week and if they lose this game I think they our Certs for going down, they will be fired up from the start and if we can catch them early and get a lead there heads will drop, we have to limit them to 12 points and the rest will take care of itself.

I agree with what has been said. This weekends game is a potential banana skin. Never thought I would say about Galway, a county with such a great footballing tradition. I don't want to see them relegated but its looking ominous for them at present, and I really hope we can beat them, but I'd also love to see another positive performance. We need the players confidence being sky high going into the championship. If we can get our cocky swagger back before May, I fancy us to take Tyrone in Omagh.

yep we are not going well at the moment but expect a serious performance from our young team tomorrow. if we lose it will be ironic that one foot into div 3 will be at the hands of most galway football folk's favourite ulster footballing county with a similar tradirional attacking style of play and of course the brillant swinging sixties when down and galway shared 6 all irelands.

I have a feeling this is going to be one hell of a tight game when you look at the stats from previous ulster teams visiting Tuam! GALWAY have a lot to go for tomorrow with the proud tradition of football they have, i think what maybe against them is the young side they have, but if everything clicks for them we could be in trouble!! hopefully not and we can set up a cliffhanger with Donegal.

How many times is this Down team going
To let there traveling supporters down???
The money we spend following the county?
And let down by very below par performance.
Everytime the team stay over they don't
Perform?
I think were the fools?

Andun1960, do you call that support ? Poor performance yesterday, however we are still 2nd in the division, and promotion guaranteed if we win next 3 games. I don't believe we will, and on current form we need another year in div 2, but I will be happy to spend my money supporting, through thick and thin

I wouldent panic just yet , although this weekends game v Donegal will let us see were we are at.

More importantly its all about peaking for the championship, Hopefully with a full squad to pick from we shouldn't worry about going to Omagh,

It can be depressing following Down these days. But it'll be worth it whenever we return to the big stage again. It's all about the championship, and Tyrone in May. Leagues are for playing, championships for winning. Granted we may not win the All-Ireland, but it's still important we get out and support the team through thick and thin.
