Kids invited to 'bring a ball' to Ballinascreen double-header

Kids can bring a football or a hurl and sliotar and play on the pitch at half-time.

Ballinascreen GAA club is encouraging children attending tomorrow's Allianz League double-header at Dean McGlinchey Park to bring a football or a hurl and sliotar and play on the pitch at half-time.

Following a change of venue, the Derry footballers are playing London at 12.30pm, followed by the Derry hurlers' clash with Donegal at 2.30pm, so there will be two opportunities for kids to take to the field and displays their skills in front of a big crowd. Meath GAA introduced a similar initiative at Pairc Tailteann a couple of weeks ago which went down very well with the youngsters.

"All children are invited to bring a football / sliotar to Dean McGlinchey Park on Sunday. We hope to see lots of Derry and H&A jerseys at half-time," Ballinascreen GAA said.
