Cavan this year , your betting against a solid Cavan team?"
Did Longford not beat Cavan a few weeks back?

Longford beat them convincingly.

I thought so. They also seemed to have dropped as a point in another game as per the standings but I cant recall who They drew with.

Longford and Cavan final as expected. Game last night was not much of a contest. Sligo losing big players early with injury did not help.

Came to watch both semi finals. Poor games. Westmeath way below their best. Longford play very well. Fast skillful players. Sligo woeful. Five points in sixty minutes is pitiful. Sligo had numerous scoring chances but were most inept. Kicked the ball directly to the loose Longford player time after time after time. #14 for Sligo (Micky .....?) was the only one of the Sligo forwards to impress. #3 for Sligo was also impressive. I expect the final will be a much closer affair.

if cavan win the intermediate they must be forced to go into senior after dropping out last year. a bad precedent was set by armagh. this must be handled differently.

Surely the Senior Board has to force the four teams at least from Semi Finals up to Senior(Cavan,Westmeath,Longford,Sligo). The intermediate is destroyed now by the access to Big spending these teams have reached. How Can they Possibly leave three teams there for 2017? Although its NY and the money teams run the Board.

Money team, not teams.

I was at both imtermediate games. Very harsh on sligo. First 15 minutes longford were awesome. They blew sligo away. I've watched a lot of games in this championship and I know sligo are a far better team then westmeath and cavan. People can give out about money teams and be negative but in my opinion sometimes you have to appreciate great football no matter what colours the team is wearing. Brian kavanagh, enda williams, peter foy and the superstar jamie clarke were a joy to watch. Longford clicked but sligo were doing things right this year so they should be proud despite the loss.

Was at these games too and longford the best team by far. I can see them kissing final. There just like Dinegal in senior.

Huge score line put up by Donegal yesterday, cant see Monaghan stopping them in the final. Be like 2 county teams in Ireland going at it with the amount of county players togging out for both. Rockland had a strong win over Donegal in the Junior A quarterfinal, but saw Leitrim training in GP couple weeks ago, they have a strong team and will be thereabouts come the final.

ulster poor end of game mangement, threw it away, donegal barely got out of 2nd gear yesterday, plenty more to come from them, expect them to throttle monaghan who made tough work of a kerry team that caused them problems but didnt have the squad to see out the last 10 minutes

Question:

Do all NY clubs get an all Ireland ticket allocation like in Ireland? If so, are these included in a draw to all club members or how are NY tickets allocated?

Each Club do receive tickets, However its up to each specific Club as to how they want to distribute these.

Each club do get tickets. I know a few clubs do it on good faith that if a club member is traveling for the final, they would get the tickets. If a few were going at the same time, it would be pulled from a hat. Never heard of any issues or problems with that. It'll be tougher when counties that don't typically get into the final, make it. But as usual, same teams are there past number of years.

thanks lads. just wondering if there were any open draws in NY run by any clubs with tickets available. I am a member of a club but we don't seem to have tickets for whatever reason.

Clubs do not get allocated tickets. If you ask the county board (you might or might not) get tickets.....

Correct. Clubs do not get tickets. I believe there distributed fairly to sponsor of various teams etc.

Who are favorites in JR A. Would say Rays

Conflicting messages. seems like there is an allocation for each club sent to New York but the board decides on this allocation with tickets most likely going to the sponsors, ie. money men in the senior clubs
