Blocks everything up? Meaning?

Meaning if he's in front of goal there's definitely going to be a sweeper on him. So when rest of forwards are coming through it will be packed inside 21 vard line. Hope this explains.

I guess it's easier throw a barb than to explain yourself properly and be challenged to explain how Kerry and Dublin don't worry about having their full-forward double marked!

I would worry about the commitment of Silke with the footballers due to his work commitments as a Doctor... which he be based in mullingar... the same with jack mc caffery he can't commit with the Dublin footballers for the league due to his commitments as doctor in Kilkenny...
but work is work i suppose what can they do...

You could be explaining to some people all day and it still wont sink in. So why bother. LOL

so as i predicted hge has gone with steede straight into midfield- he will need 3/4 games there to adapt and to see what he is like at this level....with flynn injured and fiontan as well as conroy not 100 percenrt as of yet it is the perfect chance
comer back in at 11- id prefer him closer togoal especially at his current fitness level and he has stuck with finnerty over varley- a close one for me finnerty more scores varley more possession won- coin toss
another game for gleeson and glad to see duane get another go- kerry inside line will test him!!!
really persisting with m,cdaid but gary on the wing i fear for pace wise
daly michael will likely worjk out the field with brannigan working further back still or perhaps freeing up god to sweep?
better balance coming to the team with the steede experiment most interesting

Walsh coming in and out the field from f.forward seems to attract an opposition full back and open up the inside forward line which seems to suit players such as varley finnerty and probably burke aswell!

From my time playing after the 15 spot there was only one place you were going after that and it involved wearing a bib!!!

15 role allows movement for M Daly around half forward line and midfield, leaving 2-man full forward line. Daly needs to show up big now, he's got the talent and needs a big performance.

Definitely. The most thing I would be looking for the next day is a performance. Kerry have impressed and improved a lot imo. If we get our defence in order we have a chance.

Really looking forward to the game tomorrow night. It is fantastic that Galway are back at this level and whilst Kerry are favourites we have a legitimate chance of winning it based on previous league games between us. Those years in division 2 were incredibly bleak and whilst I was not a fan of the style of play fair play to Kevin Walsh for toughening us up and bringing us back up and consolidating us in Division 1. We were a long way from Division 1 League Finals before KW took over. Hope we kick on now under PJ and start to genuinely push Dublin and Kerry

He had a lot of movement last Sunday but was largely anonymous, why was Varley dropped for him.

Ya thought Varley playing well. Not scoring but laying off a lot of scores.

That's true. To be fair to KW, he took us out of the doldrums. PJ and the lads going well so far, mighty stuff to watch!

We are going to need a massive score here as they wont miss a whole pile.
Talking to a kerry supporter yesterday he said they aim should be to have as many 2 footed players on the field in the summer(forwards), Geaney, Clifford, O'Shea, O'Donohue, very hard to contain them all. You can only move Jonny Cooper so many times or your second best defender.
Got me thinking, if we are to be serious contenders, have we 3 defenders to shut down 3 of the above and of we do have we 3 or 4 2 footed players to do the damage the other end.
