Replying To togoutlads:  "Thought the keeper Waller and maybe the Monaghan lads, though they're still young, might be called up"
Waller isn't county standard. End of.

Replying To rhudson:  "Matt Tierney and the 2 Monaghan lads are all under 20
So id imagine they will play with the u20 Galway team"
Eric Lee looked very good and he is a strong, quick, direct player with an eye for goal which is something Galway are lacking if Comer isn't playing as Varley and Burke are more play-makers.

Would be great if you could get Power on for the restarts, and then have the Dunmore man for the actual goalkeeping!! To say that his shot stopping the last day was impressive would be an understatement.

Mike Daly was anonymous last Sunday, has been disappointing thus far in his senior career.

Hes a great player but on current form he should be on the bench

The question there is obviously which one can either improve on the most:)...Power on shot stopping or Gleeson on restarts?

have to agree and talk of his potential needs to be realised sooner than later
tries to beat markers while in possession but just doesnt have the sppeed for that
needs to be getting off shoulders and on the loop to get his shots away as that is his strength- shooting fromn range

Would keep o laoi for Conroy. Start comer instead of daly. Extra option for a kickout also. Varley for brannigan

Team I'd line out against Kerry

1.Gleeson
2. Sean Andy
3. S. Mulkerrin
4. L Silke
5. K. Molloy
6. J Daly
7. C. Mc Daid
8. T. Flynn
9. D. Comer
10. J. Heaney
11. P. Conroy
12. M. Daly
13 I. Burke
14. S. Walsh
15. A. Varley

But can't see any of the corofin lads starting to be honest... might be used as subs for the first game back....

Sean Andy not played any game so far this year in my opinion not a hope of playing against one best full forward line in the country and Johnny Heaney playing corner back in every match won't be moved to wing forward and Comer not near fit enough yet to play midfield only my opinion ,

Comer extra option for a kick out but you would replace Conroy with O'Laoi? Don't think we'll see O'Laoi/Boyle/Finnerty come championship.

My team for what it's worth this Saturday would be :
Gleeson
Heaney
Mulkerrin
Silke ( provided Corofin lads are back)
Molloy
Daly
Brannigan
Steede ( has to make that step up)
Flynn
Daly ( needs a big one)
Conroy
Comer
Varley
Walsh
Burke

agree fully
comer massively lacking in fitness. needs to be in front of goal short bursts etc

O laoi for Conroy and Conroy as an impact, he reacts great when in the melting pot an would be a huge player to bring on, Brannigan is on the fence just feel he is a runner.

Comer is to well marked in the forwards, far better suited out the field IMO.... did ya see the fetch he made at centre field the last day after coming on?? It was class... comer be the perfect candidate centre field and then bursting forward.... plus he wouldn't be heavily marked either at centre field... it confuses the backs as he makes his way forward.... the guy marking the likes of Daly, Walsh or Varley be asking himself do I stay with him or risk taking on comer, while this would be freeing up Walsh, or Burke if he does decide to break away to comer etc... (I hope this makes sense in what I'm saying)??

Definitely agree with ur point about comer think he needs play In half forward midfield area for sure just think he not fit enough just yet but definitely it's the place for him ,

Think he could wander into the edge of the square even if he spends time out the field

Agree his fitness is not up to scratch yet but if he's played in front of goal it blocks everything up imo.
