Replying To crafty:  "U20 management team could be brought in for qualifiers but they probably wouldnt want to go against Kevin. The chairman needs to act now for the good of the team. Its tough on Kevin but he has to go now. 2 points in 40 mins playing with the wind at home is unacceptable. This management team cant have any credibility left at this stage. They have to go NOW."
It is time for Mr Walsh to go. A very disappointing performance. Very. Total lack of focus in second half. None of the traditional kick and catch Galway style either. Negative and depressing. Sorry to be moaning but change is needed in Galway GAA.

A great panel of players. Players have poor days fair enough but management are so slow to make changes. What was the point of a sub in the 75th min. The second half performance was awful and most if not all of our subs should have been on by the 60th minute

A bit sick of management ignoring the psychology of the team. The lads are hit and miss and it's not because they arent good players, their mindset is ignored

I'm sure the backs and midfield had a fair idea who'd be behind the kickouts for the last few weeks regardless of which stars"
He was dropped and it backfired.... again..!
Brought Molloy on in the 75th minute. Farragher for Ian Burke on 68 mins.
Tactics...?????
Please... Enough of this.....

Won't disagree with anything said here. Someone stupidly called the hurlers embarrassing after yesterday. They never packed it in, and never have under Donoghue. They were just poor this year.
This however was the epitome of embarrassment today.
We've seen this so many times in the last few years. We folded as soon as things got tough. Kept stupidly fouling when chasing the game. The Tyrone game in the league was very similar.
Nobody took their man on apart from Walsh on occasion, just constant lateral handpassing and looping around on the 45. It's so easy to defend against. It's terrible to watch but also so ineffective. It also doesn't suit our players.
We have a lot of talented players in Galway at the moment and it's being completely wasted. I'll always support my county, but €25 to watch that is an insult.

"A new low for Galway football". You all only have short term memory. This is gonna get a lot of downvotes but Before Kevin Walsh Galway had no direction and structure, Strangling in Division 2. We'd be happy to even make a Connacht final. We were in an All Ireland semi final last year. Thanks the difference, the system works. We have countless of injuries and Roscommon were fully healthy. The football is not glamorous but it gets results. The lads couldn't match Roscommons intensity. The system just didn't work today.
Trust the process. Well deserved Roscommon.

Ross by far the better team, congrats to them. We very lucky in the 1st half as 3 times their final pass was a whisker short of opening us for goals. We had 7 different starters from 2018. Ross won because they, were much more effective and quick at moving the ball from their 20 line to ours, They were totally on top physically and were able to bully our lads, and above all, they were up for it mentally and hungry for success. We have been poor enough really since beating Kildare last year. Agree with those who complained here about the slowness in making changes, Burke was having a rare bad day and should have been subbed earlier. I cannot see us getting to the super 8s now. Comer etc even if fit will be so short of match time in the qualifier game.

Ah come on. I'm the first to acknowledge what Kevin has done for Galway, but that style won't take us any further. Just because we're not losing to Antrim by a point anymore, doesn't mean we should settle for this. He has brought us on, but there are massive limitations to his preferred style of play. If we want to progress further, we need to evolve and play to our strengths.
We have had a lot of talented footballers come through over the last 5 years. We're capable of a lot more than kicking 2 points in 43 minutes of football, with the wind at our backs. Most scores in football come from broken or contested play and turnovers moved quickly. All we did today was turn back as soon as we met a defender and recycle the ball ad nauseum. This hasn't been a one-off either.
For a supposedly defensive team, we were at 6s and 7s any time Roscommon took us on in 2nd half.
I'm not one to slate a manager and I won't, but we will not improve any further with this style of play.

What kind of direction and structure had we today? 14 players behind the ball playing with the wind, scored 2 points in 40 mins v Roscommon. They were relegated in the league. You are talking rubbish. Imagine what Walsh would do to a team like Corofin. We have no direction, no structure and are going nowhere with this management.

''The System work's'' ..........what system are you talking about?? We don't have a system. We obviously don't have an attacking system and we don't have a defensive system. With a full back line like ours it's impossible to have a defensive system. Donegal won all ireland 7 years ago with defensive system. The Mcgees.....paddy Mcgrath......Frank Mcglynn etc. Where's our Neil Mcgee for God sake. Sean Andy a big lump but I've yet to see him get the better of his opponent and as for Eoghan Kerin......all bark no bite.

Sean Andy must be allergic to close marking. Constantly seems miles away from his man.

So disheartening and so difficult on the eye. Awful awful stuff. Very talented forwards running around completely headless. Queuing up falling over each other around the 45 to pass the ball laterally. Rossie splitting their sides laughing at the sight of Burke and Walsh handpassking the ball miles away from the danger zone. Anybody hear of the term " the basics" or is that also old fashioned and old school???

Big changes needed for the next day.
Not one player who started today is an automatic choice.
I would pick Power, Kyne, Molloy, McDaid, Conroy, Comer, Farragher if all available.
Think its 4 weeks so they should be

Galway traditionally were a kick and catch team. Not a handpassing and back passing team. They were forward looking and kicked their points. Not aimless hand passing back to the keeper- as happened today!

3 weeks next match it's really hard see what teams we would beat could get Mayo , Monaghan, Armagh , Tyrone we beat none of them playing like that , brining on subs in injury time only time u do that is 2 run down the clock For ur own team not opposition , another wasted year I personally feel not a chance make super 8s today' was the last supper for some players and definitely management,

If he is near him he will foul him. So you cant win with him. Nobody else there.

Tom flynn got caught twice trying to stop a roscommon wing back near our 21 meter line, they rounded him easily to score.

Our tackling is so soft. It's of the 'stick the hand in' variety with no real physicality. On a day when the ball is like a bar of soap, it's much easier for a defender to overturn the ball, yet they broke so-called tackles with ease in the second half. Meanwhile, we got dispossessed regularly. The amount of stupid fouls we gave away also highlights poor tackling technique or simply a lack of real effort.
