Dublin v Meath

Replying To MesAmis:  "If you're going then why all the giving out about the GAA trying to get as many people to go as possible?

Do you want the matches to clash so that less people can get to see both?

What possible point would be in that?"
Probably to give him the high moral ground later in the year to talk about how only 'real' fans that didn't watch the soccer should get tickets for any big games we might be involved in.

Because he is on a crusade for the "inconvenienced" Mes.

Wayno hate s the Irish team but is in love with Liverpool. A place he has no affilaition to.

Answer me this Wayno, and answer me honestly! If Ireland were to beat France and play England in the QF, who would you like to see progress?

I don't feel it will increase the attendance at all, if anything the timing of 6.35 will decrease The attendance. I didn't see ques outside Dorset street ticket office when I passed owing to a scramble for the newly fixed time haha

Don't use shovels mate
Just the truth 6.35 on a Sunday
guaranteed crowd decreaser.
maybe wayno earlier prediction of not surpassing 35 thousand will be on the money now. The pubs the big winners.

In love with Liverpool ? Don't be so childish. I support them. Not "in love" with them.

When is team being announced tonight or tomorrow?
I see paddy Andrews only returned to training Wednesday night.
Wouldn't expect him to start at that rate.
flynner returned last weekend so could be in running to start. If he does start
biggest call for me is corner forward spot.
Mannion, Costello, mcmanoman, o Callaghan and O gara all vying for one spot possibly.

I remember at the Longford game 10 years ago at this stage. In the hotel/bar in Longford there were Irish Dublin supporters singing "Steve Gerrard, Gerrard.... in fake Liverpool accents, while wearing Dublin jersey's"

It was a bit surreal.....

Kind of sums up the GAA/Irish/English/Soccer schizophrenia.

I think both of the Les Bleus will beat thier respective opponents comfortably in both codes.

I was shocked that Meath were only 2 points better off then laois in the handicap betting.

At least I will be able to eat Tayto again after meath are beaten..... :)

Yea,unless Andrews is shooting the lights out in training maybe Jim will ease him back into first team action.Hopefully P Flynn gets a good game under his belt.Plenty of options of high quality.I wouldn't be disappointed if any of them started.

Why I am worried about this game? Just the inclement weather, a relatively inexperienced meath team, game at an unusual hour, media giving the royals no chance, we are all-ireland champions. It reminds so much me of 1996, don't know why but I have this nagging feeling we are in for a serious challenge sunday evening. Hopefully we won't let our standards slip which they did v laois in the second half. If we are 100% driven we should have enough to see us home but without a battle that will replicate game of thrones the other night!!!!
