Connolly Back Next Year?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I think it's no harm having this in the media! Very little drive for five nonsense in the media and Dermo gets the coverage. Whatever happens, happens!

Sure that fella doesn't know any more than anyone else he's just prodding the dog.
I think you'd know by now if he was returning though.

Played for Vinnies last night, while we were down in Kilkenny playing a friendly against Cork, Rory was there, we were beaten by the way.

I heard Cork also beat Galway in a challenge. Sounds very impressive on their part considering how bad they were in the league. Any idea of how strong a team ye had out?

I think it was bit mixed all in all a chara, a few young lads, a few lads given a whirl from the club championship and a few more established lads getting mins, typical challenge stuff.

Dermo playing for Vincent's again last night this is head wrecking now we're going for history and our best player won't play for whatever reason.

I hear ya!! It's beyond frustrating at this stage. Conflicting rumours almost daily that yeah he's back and then oh wait no he's heading back to Boston etc etc. Will be interesting to hear Gavin's comments on it at the weekend because he is surely to be asked in his pre or post match interviews.

I'm hearing Colm Basquel not involved this summer heading to the states. Was hoping he'd kick on big time he has a lot of talent he's only young so maybe just wants a break and will be back flying next season.

Heard the same, his own decision to step away from the panel was what I was told. Played for Boden midweek to.

Ah I'm over it once he wasn't back before Louth game I know that was that. I genuinely think he'll regret it in years to come but he owes us absolutely nothing and best of luck to him.

Still would love to know what happened the night when he came on against mayo in that league game in '18 to never playing for Dublin again.

Obviously we'd all love closure one way or another that he wasn't playing this year but Jim must feel it's a good distraction to take away from the players.

It was nothing to do with the team or Jim. It was a personal issue but he is happy out now and hope he enjoys his time in the States.

Ah Yeah best of luck to him , still think will need him this season at some stage, don't care what people say about it being a done deal for 5 in a row or funding (Jesus I hate that word now) when (if) we meet donegal Kerry or Mayo their will be nothing in it, like there never has been in the last 8 years.

Financial doping hahaha who said that ? Never heard that one. I guess people don't like seeing Dublin have a successful senior team, and are making a living off us.

Hahaha that's the best one yet, I swear to god I'm not biting to the funding debate anymore, let them off they've already made up their minds. Pity we're not allowed have a great team doh it seems only Kerry and Kilkenny are.
