No place for that rubbish.
Especially when the target of his behaviour just wants to hurl"

Why would they take him of when they told him to do it as the number 12 said that himself.

At the end of the day, it isn't part of the game and that's the worst example of it I've witnessed in a long time and that's from a neutral perspective. Portaferry would have won the game anyway and number 12 was having a good game before all that.
It was embarrassing, but not surprising when you look at the Portaferry managers and they encourage that nonsense.
The black card was introduced to Gaelic football to stamp out that rubbish, hopefully it isn't creeping into our game too.

I just call it as I see it.
And you're probably right. Doesn't make either right.
I'm an advocate of rough play, but the ball should be at least in the vicinity

I can't see how a young 19 year old terrorised a county senior player. I did see Sands getting his helmet pulled off, is that not a straight red?

That county senior happens to be 19 himself and also happens to be one of the best players in the county if not Ulster. He dosnt go looking for fights or is dirty off the ball all he wants to do is play the game. Unfortunately portaferrys tactics didnt allow him to do that in the end as that's all they are good for, and even that they are usless. As for you referring him to a county senior he is also Ulster young hurler of the year and one of the top 4 hurlers in this county. As for young sands and the helmet incident yeah maybe should have been a red but from what I'm led to believe it was an accident and young sands didnt even demand the red he is sorta similar to phelim by way all he wants to do is hurl and mot get involved in any dirty tactics, pity the rest of portaferry couldnt take note
