is it true that brenden buglar has retired from inter county,a solid wing back, a man that had a good bit of cutting in him.would he do a job as a fullforward, like the great brian corcoran when he came back from a 2 yr break, bugler would be a threat in and around the square.he always came across as a man fully dedicated,we would take him in limerick.

Is there any hope that the present senior hurling managers ]Moloney and O Conner would take a realistic look at their performans as managers last year and decide they just don't have it and drop out for next year, and have the county hand over the reins to Anthony Daly. What a difference it would make Iwould just love it!!!!!!.

NO,WHATS LEFT REF,the solution of recalling Bugler out of retirement to play forward would not be correct. Our problem is not the forwards. We have an abundance of talent thereThe problem should be evaluating the backs and checking what new talent is available.Although I say again the present mangement is not up to the task.Last year they could not even see that making short puck outs with strong breeze was not successful.so much to be concerned about in thr year ahead. Also we do need a new goalie!!!!!!!

All the best to Colin Ryan. Amazing to think he made his debut as a sub v Cork late on in the infamous Semplegate game in 2007. Only 29 years old so shows demands of intercounty game. Another loyal servant to Clare who was integral in our 2013 success and should have got an All Star. Still our best free-taker. Has an ALL Ireland and a League Medal so congrats Colin.

Best of luck to Colin indeed and we owe him for his service to Clare was without doubt best dead ball striker in Clare should have got an all star in 2013.

Like Bugs id say the commitment is now savage and having a young family as well as his desire to enjoy a bit of soccer probably made up his mind
his one flaw was that he was only average on the high ball but had all the other skills will probably play for NOF for years to come

I am looking forward to County Final Bridge are huge favourites but Clooney wont mind that at all their backs are hugely solid so will come down to the wire Ryan Taylor or Bryan McInerney could be MOM

Over last few years we have seen

Clonlara
Cratloe
Crusheen
Tulla
Ballyea

all win titles so big change in where titles have been going

Heres hoping that Clooney do it

County Final

Great game for the most part yesterday for some reason Clooney diden't appear to have any chance, a view shared by the bookies as well but the got stuck in from the start and led all the way to that Sheana Morey point in my opinion Clooney were better team on the day even if they did get a draw at the death.

It was refreshing to see a game with little or no tactics and some great individual battles Fergal Lynch rolled back the years gave an outstanding display had the Bridge full back line in huge difficulty you could see what it meant to him.
I cant wait for the replay

Great praise is due to Clooney. Whilst I wasn't at it, my brother was. I think Sixmilebridge were lucky to escape with a draw. And I think Clooneys dominance in the air won't evaporate overnight.
I'm disappointed with the Bridge as they have some fine players and would give Munster a rattle where as Clooney wont. Usually the team with more room for improvement ie. Sixmilebridge should win the replay but I think it will be tight again. Ryan Taylor good enough for Clare squad?

So sorry to read that Darach Honan has retired from the CLARe team.Speaking as a fellow veteran,I can without contradiction say he was as talented a player as ever put on the Clare jersey. His play on the minor and under 21 teams was exceptional, and his work as a high school player was,Iam told, brilliant .. Unfortuately , when he reached senior level injuries impeded his progress. But Iwant to tell you Darach we in CLARE,appreciate your many years of dedicated service, and regret that your years of service had to come to an end at a relatively early age.We will look forward to your many brilliant performances with pleasure. THANKS FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS. You were great an leave us with many fine memories.

All the best to Darach, what a pity he has to finish at 27. He had some amazing games for Clare but sadly injury interrupted his career and now has finished it at 27. At least he has his AI medal and a league medal so he doesn't leave empty handed.

His performances in 2009 at 21 were sensational and he also scored a lot of goals for Clare, esp in the early part of the decade, which sometimes get forgotten. The type of training we are doing i think needs to be looked at. Conor Ryan is another who is really struggling with injury and may not play again and also David Mac has trouble with his back, not to mention some of the lads Darach has mentioned.

Perhaps less is more, esp for lads who are naturally fast and skillful and maybe don't need this army style training??

Well as we come to the end of October,we. take a peek at the Clare seniors for nex t year and it is not pretty sight.Gone from last year are Bugler,,Donnelan, Cunnibgham,Honan, and a few other stalwarts are rumoured to be planning to join that growing list!!!!!!! Well I DONT LIKE IT,no sir Idont like it at all.Last year we had a miserable year.and now we face into a New year with depleted choices and a management team that proved that they dont have what i t takes to produce a winning team. There is no word from them they have plans for anyth ing to improve matters.Again I plead ; Get rid of the present managers. What did they accpmplish last year.?AND BRING BACK Anthony Daly.At least he won a national league as Dublin manger

Clare's biggest day this year was the Munster Final

From the mass exodus you talk about, only one of these players started that day - Colm Galvin

Hopping ball, although you say you are from Galway,I feel sure you have Clare roots. It absolutely amazes me that you think Clare are the team to beat in 2018. 1 would love to hear the reasons for you coming to that unbelievable conclusion.I really wish you are right, but see no reason to hope for an improvement on last year,s disastrous season.!!!!!!

Live in Galway ,,Work takes me into Clare,,,,general feeling among most clare supporters is they could have and should have beaten both Cork and Tipp in 2017.... 2018 Clare will have a new coach, ball winners in the fowards ,,, and a much improved Goalie,,,and also Clare have started training already,,,, The team to beat in 2018.....

Thanks for you reply, and you are always welcome in Clare/. Your reply surprised me. Yes I believe a new goalie should make a difference.Any change there from last year's fiasco would have to be an improvement, and a new manager should help, but we still have a long way to go to be a top team IN 20i8!!!!!!!!!

Galvin will be available the summer of 2018. Our number 1 priority has to be to sort out our defence. we need to find a wing back, and a corner back. David Mac will have to play full back i think as not sure POC comfortable there and we have no body else.

General feeling in Clare is the Bridge left it after them... were a much better team then Ballygunner, but its the scoreboard that counts,,,,, think the Bridge were slow making changes...

Hopping ball, how right you are.The Bridge were vey slow to make changes. For example they had no business playing Gilligan in the second half.Despite his willingness and desire, and he was a great hurler in the past, time has caught up with him.Fresh legs in the sec0nd half could have made all the difference.Blame the loss on the Bridge managers!!!!!!!
