Well done Clare. Didn't expect the drawn maatch to be topped but it was. I thought for the first game that you might win by a point nd then the reply by 5. I wasn't too far out!

Delighted that the best cship in memory has be topped off by one of the greatest finals ever. A season to be savoured by all, both far and wide. JBM was very gracious in defeat and with the Cork team probably a year or two behind Clare in terms of development, an AI final is not a bad base for next year.

Thanks you all for the congratulations!! It is a super super feeling to be under 21 and senior champions!! The only disappointment is that the season is over! Can't wait for next year already

Well Done guys! You are the new hurling power i hope we and others can catch up. It was a great Chamionship and the final was the best i can remember. Enjoy it!! Munster should be exciting next year. Clare are clearly on top with Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Tipp with a bit to do but within striking distance. Great for the game and i'm delighted for ye!

Congratulations to Clare (and to Cork ) for serving up such a wonderful game of hurling. It has been a great year for hurling and the season deserved a final like that. Great to see the title going to a team who had only won 3 titles previously especially after all the years of Kilkenny dominance. Maybe the Dubs next year ( or the year after )......... !

What a fantastic win fully deserved, the management and players have worked unbelievably hard over the last 10 months and to achieve the ultimate prize is absolutely phenomenal. Delighted for davy, he got so much abuse and criticism from within the county after the cork game in munster that i myself said was totally unwarranted, we needed a change of gameplan - we needed to create a system to suit the players that we have, it was never going to be perfect over night, it was always going to take hard work, supporters were blind and couldnt see this, while the more educated of us (hurling wise) knew the story. while looking ahead we can definitely improve again next year and take it to the next level. as great as it is to win an all ireland - we know this bunch of players have so much more to offer and have the ability to win more all irelands, so lets not do what tipperary did after 2010 and expect things to come easy and expect that we just should win most game, we need to drive on and realize our full potential and keeping working hard.
on the game itself i thought the ref totally favoured cork, there was at least 6 frees given to cork which were clearly not frees - 3 of which were given against dillon when none of them were even related to a free.. i've never been one to be happy to see a player get destroyed in an all ireland final but i have to say i was delighted to see shane o neill getting a good roasting from o'donnell because he some how escaped 2 bans this season, firstly for nearly splitting eoin larkin in 2, then for striking honan across the head. finally just want to say a final word about the retiring fergal lynch - he is a player who has been on the panel for 13 seasons and has always given his all to the county, but supporters give him endless criticism, we know hes not the most talented player but he has been a crucial player in coming on and settling down the team in certain games. i for one owuld like to thank fergal for his massive contribution on and off the field in achieving this success.

Without sounding like a bad loser I agree wholeheartedly with the above re: Shane O Neill. Never has such a roasting been more deserved.
