Not sure why Duggan didn't get a run! It would have been between himself and lynch to come on is say and lynchs experience would help see out the game! It's great that Clare have options off the bench though! We were blessed options like morey(current under 21 player of the year), Duggan, o Connell, o donnell etc to come off the bench!! Any one of them could start and not weaken us too

I would say that limericks bench is stronger.. Downes and Dowling,Allis,King. That guy Lynch for Clare is not good.. But morey and o donnell are good,I would say their a year or two behind Dowling and Downes's development .. Size wise aswell.. When are tickets being allocated to clare clubs?

I would say we have this all Ireland sewn up to be honest I think that the Clare effort this year was a flash in the pan and we should win this tie with relative ease

limerickforloif that is an interesting post you clearly are a very knowledgeable hurling person.
on your point of clare being a flash in the pan, i think that (although i dont agree with this) that if either of clare or limerick were going to be a flash in the pan it would be limerick. my reasoning for this is that this is the same team ye have had and have been losing in recent years so "maybe" ye just got lucky so far this year. while clare have the underage pedigree coming through to suggest that this will not be a flash in the pan clare team.... just a thought

Maybe but I think we should have no problem winning the AI this year, not sure if cork/Dublin would pose much of a threat either both overrated I think..

yeah your probably right the other 3 teams left really havnt got a hope against limerick, as ye are an outstanding team. the gaa should just hand ye the liam mccarthy now instead of going to the trouble of playing these pointless games that everyone knows ye will easily win

Well not easily win but as I said they won't pose much of a threat either, our squad coming together nicely so would be very confident of them as outright winners come mid September

To be honest Clare should be satisfied with their lot this year as it is and concentrate on next year

Can't believe the arrogance of our own supporters, i think this game will be very close as Limerick - Clare games tend to be.
I think the Clare bench will be a lot stronger than Corks and i am sure they will have a plan in place to counter act or subs.
We have to be realistic there was not that much between the two teams last year we got the goals and i think Clare are a lot stronger this year.
They have bags of pace up front and i think this could trouble the Limerick backs in our last two games we have conceded alot of chances
Cork were very wasteful in the game against us. I think alot will depend on the tactics of both teams on the day and i am looking forward to a great game between two rivals.
It will be interesting to see how Limerick deal with Clares tactics and running game

Ah it's too easy to rise Clare guys.. We know their decent/good.. But in all honesty the one game it was put up to em they didnt do well.. Cork game.. But they've improved and can score heavily if limerick aren't on form.

hexpert this is going to be a tight game hard to call. but don't be getting carried away with yere underage success, we of all counties and galway know that winning underage counts for nothing.

munsterchamps what in anyway have i said to suggest that i am getting carried away with our underage success???
and to say winning underage counts for nothing is ridiculous, winning those has meant so much to so many people.
the reason ye and galway know it counts for nothing is because ye didnt use it right when integrating into the seniors. no one would ever win an all ireland if they didnt previously have good good underage players in the years previous. its hardly a coincidence that kilkenny win have won most underage titles and senior in recent years

Hopefully there will be more clare support, but i think there is no doubt that we will be out numbered by limerick supporters, i just hope that its not on too much of an embarrassing scale. From what i could see the numbers were up at the under 21 game to what we had at the senior game versus galway. Problem is in clare we have far too many "sunshine" supporters and also in the older generation in particular there are a terribly negative bunch of people. With our underage success hopefully we can change the mindset of these people and get them to believe and get them back out supporting their county again.

Limerick will easily outnumber us next Sunday, and that is only to be expected.
They have had 2 big wins this year. Tipperary were considered in top 2. They then beat Cork to win a first Munster final since '96, and now see that it's Cork who are in all-Ireland final so will really fancy their chances.
It's also 40 years since they last won the all-Ireland so there is massive hunger in Limerick. Plus, Clare has only about 60% the population of Limerick.

Also, while Clare have looked good -they haven't set the world alight. Weren't convincing against Waterford, well beaten in the end by Cork, destroyed Laois in Ennis, struggled again to beat Wexford and finally had a good win over Galway but a lot of people will ask how good Galway really were. Personally, I think this is a major plus for Clare as most of the pressure will be on Limerick and if Clare manage to hit form in Croke Park Limerick will be under serious pressure.

The Irish independent said in yesterdays paper that there could be up to 70,000 people for next Sunday. Not sure if they'll get that but it would be a phenomenal number considering Dublin/Cork brought 62,000 there yesterday.

It could be like the munster final in 1995. Clare were outnumbered 3 to 1 but the crowd never became a factor because of Clare's dominance. This time I think limerick support might be a factor. It might not be 3 to 1 but it might not be far off it. I know a club in Clare that has 30 percent of its tickets taken by limerick supporters.. It ll be a close game and that's when the crowd becomes an issue..

cork are probably hoping that clare win because it would give them an awful lot more potential tickets than what they would get if it was a cork limerick final.
