Galway up next. IMO Clare and Galway are the two best teams at this level. Clares match sharpness should see them through and cap a miserable season for Galway. No date confirmed as of yet

I look forward to seeing these young Galway players make the break though to senior and as usual underachieve. As I said to you already, Clare were playing against the ref and 15 Galway players... tough ask for any team of kids.

Lohansredhelmet you are a sore loser and you bring shame to real Clare hurling fans with your sillly rant. Galway will have a good future in Leinster yet.

LohansRedHelmet, Quieten down, Galway were the better team today all round. When the s**t hit the fan Galway stood up and Clare were nowhere to be seen. Galway were horrific in the first half but when they went for broke in the 2nd half where was Clare? Yes Galway scraped extra time with a lucky goal but thats hurling and thats sport. You work hard enough you'll get the break. Galway worked harder then Clare. It was quite evident thatGalway's squad was stronger then Clare all our subs impacted. and if I recall the ref gave you a chance to win the game for what was a very soft free. So stop making excuses your the only one at it.

Misfortune for Clare.. especially in light of last year's defeat too. But theres a few lads there for the future. Have to congratulate Galway they didn't give up .. when most other teams would have accepted the defeat.

Thought Extra time was a bit of a strange decision and no doubt suited Galway. Replay would have been the better choice.
That having been said I think Galway would have won a replay anyway. They were a stronger team finishing than what started and wouldn't have had such a sluggish first half again.

Another disappointing year for Clare. A county in turmoil.

Back them to win the All Ireland this year

Great prediction and Galway walk out through them in a canter.

Everything is nice and rosy in Galway sure. Remind me when the last time ye won a senior all Ireland was?

1988 LohansRedHelment if you must know. But we all know history is called so for a reason, its done and dusted. Its all about the here and now. Right now Galway are better minors than Clare. Galway are better Seniors, Galway are better clubs, Galway are better camogies. Now I will come back on this in future and reverse what I said no problem should the situation change but at the moment the maroon and white are inthe driving seat.

Galway were lucky to win, their goal should of been ruled out for charging and referee gave them a few handy frees.Galway had the stronger bench and this showed in extra time

This is a gas thread. I came on here to read about the Clare minors and ask a question and I find more stuff written about the Clare seniors (as if there isn't enough threads already around the place on them). Well anyway, the question is, by any chance is Oisin Hickey's father a Limerick man from Ballylanders?

I'm sure your'e delighted Lohansredhelmet that your near neighbours, the Galway minors actually won the AI - that is the fifth AI either club or intercounty that Galway have won this year so far. Still the only county to regularly bring AI's back West of the Shannon!

Galway have won plenty minors but success has never transferred to senior.prob doesnt help they only have 2/3 games to win a championship
