What's gone wrong with Clare hurlers?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

The year started well enough - what's gone wrong? Has Mike Mac gone training-mad again, or are the team just not good enough?

Yeah it certainly depends on which Cork team turns up.

If its the Cork 'A' team, then Clare will be doing well not to be relegated this year!

Lets face facts.. Clare are a below average side... they survived during the 90s because of high fitness levels. now that every team has those clare are out of contention

Mr Tyson no doubt a WUM but the below average team fairly spanked lk last year - as did a division two team.

40 years since an all Ireland - if lk don`t come to terms with where they are in the hurling world it will be another very short summer. It always makes me laugh when lk think they belong on kk`s pedestal!!

Spanked? good man, dirty play and wild swinging... Limerick didnt show up last year and i think we all know limerick on there day are WAY WAY WAY better than clare...

RE: 90's team, B.Lohan and seanis mac were great hurlers no doubt the rest though were journeymen... all jamsie could do was hit free's (badly)

"there day" are you sure it`s not "their day" or does "there day" refer to some mythological tear in the fabric of the universe where Limerick can hurl. Perhaps the viewers of black and white tvs in cappamore and its ilk cannot down the years distinguish green jerseys from red jerseys of cork. Plenty of mullochers don the green jersey and will continue to do so ! The Green jersey not fit to polish the boots of the clare team. I could think of another use for it - cul !!!

The Green jersey has polished the All Ireland trophy on 7 occasions! Now come back to us when the "all bottle & no hurling" county clare have 7 titles, or 5 or even 4… boy we will be a long time waiting!!!!

very good point kilkenny man. isnt it interesting how clare people never reply to a post with constructive arguments and instead try to rubbish others statemants with unwitty retorts

7 titles ?? - Only 1 of those in the last 70 years. Greenland once had a temperate climate doesn`t mean you don`t need thermals heading there now. Time to move on a bit.

lads lads, what happened to the neighbourly love. lets face facts, clare are going thru a bad patch and will probably
not make any headlines this year, unless the footballers manage to win a game .

2 in the last 70 yrs, same as clare. And your pt is...

With maths like yours u could be the next Finance Minister!

A wiseman once said: if u don`t come to terms with where u are in the hurling world it will be another very short summer. It always makes me laugh when a county think they belong on kk`s pedestal!!

LMAO.

1 all ireland - you use the year after as a starting point or the day after, no major thought process involved there. Thought an Android like yourself could have computed that.

I have no illusions about ce`s position in the hurling world but to have Lk lads thinking they on a different level to us is laughable. I just always wonder where this comes from ? At least we have a decent club championship.
