Replying To Banner.Abu:  "I would imagine so only seems logical as he done it two weeks ago. Key thing that weekend though was the hurlers played first. It will be interesting to see if Davy throws the toys out of the pram as this is the first time that the footballers are playing before the hurlers."
i am nearly sure Podge can't play with the Footballers as he has picked up a second Black so misses a match

Great win wont fear the Rossies

I do think its three black cards that merits a suspension though?

clare played better when he went off funnily enough! He is a tidy little footballer but i think clare play better when they by half forwards and go direct. Just an observation...he maybe better off bench

Jeeze lads, ye are fairly unexcited about the Roscommon game. Does anyone follow the big ball down there.
What's the feeling there, can ye go one more week? No more than ourselves ye have played a lot of games.
Confidence low with our lads and whole set up looks flat. That said we are better than last Sunday's effort and should have a decent amount of changes. Could be a good open game as we have to go for it now .
Enjoy ....but not too much.

I agree with that - podge can slightly hold up things in play too long that's not a criticism just an observation - you see what happened when ball was kicked directly in to Sexton he roasted the full back line and having left and right legs is always a help, for me Clare need to go direct against Roscommon if we have a chance as they are quiet a physical side - I think Clare can do it!!

Well done in getting to the quarter final lads , and if ye were playing any1 else I'd be shouting for ye.

I'm not going to patronise ye because we will beat ye in the big ground of crokepark but if it gives ye any comfort Dublin will beat us in the semifinal so at least ye still have the hurling ;-)

Fantastic season for the footballers so far and it doesn't have to end there. They are primed for a right cut off Kerry now.

Plenty of media reporting about Kerry's easy run to the All Ireland semi should prove serious motivation for these boys. A lot of disrespect being shown to Clare. They are on a serious roll and are a potential banana skin for Kerry.

BTW the red card shown to Cathal yesterday was a bad call. Surely they can get it overturned.

It was a bad call by the reff and hopefully ye can get it overturned.
Watching the game yesterday and when ye had ye'r foot on Roscommons throat ye took it off and it could have gone really badly wrong for ye.
If ye get ye'r foot on our throats next week then ye better keep it there.
Anyway best of luck to ye lads.

Well done lads, fully deserved victory, far the better team. Our lads just ran outta gas. Best of luck v Kerry. Can go and play with no fear or pressure and have a right go. Some lovely footballers who will cause them plenty of trouble

super stuff from Clare. what a well coached team would some excellent players. They have a right go too, better to lose scoring than to lose trying to keep the score down. The hurlers could learn from this mentality.

Hopefully they can put in a performance next week to cap off a fantastic year.

i know its croke park, but wouldnt a double header in Limerick make more sense and pack the place out?

Disappointing display from footballers but look if you don't start your best 15 your asking for trouble but all in all a great year!

Arguably the best year for clare football in 24 years!!
Massive progress made in league and championship.
Good panel of players there, lots of young talent coming through.
Kerry were just a bridge too far they are well established as a top 5 team.
In truth we were never going to beat them yet. If we had played anyone else outside the top 5 teams though then i think we'd have given them a right good game of it. Just unlucky to draw one of the top dogs!
Performance was disappointing to be honest though regardless.

We need to get Cathal Mac, Liam Markham and Conor Cleary on board. Jonas Culligan and Joe McGann 2players to look out for too.

Next year will be a big year for the footballers to build on the foundations of this year. Survival in D2 is massive IMO.
