Would be a great boost for football in the banner if they qualified for D3. Iy will be tough tho as Wicklow are really up for it.

Hard luck to Clare today, ye contributed to a good game and hope you can gain promotion in 2013. I think we just wanted it a bit more today as we have been near so many times and come up short so I know how disappointed ye feel at this moment but it is a difficult division to escape from.

disappointing day...just came up short....a terrible 1st half / a really super last 30 mins.....very gutsy second half performance... kelly/hayes x2 very solid in second half...brennan & tubridy excellent through out....second half subs made a significant improvement....they seemed to be a very fit team & well prepared though i still would not be convinced on mgt set up....congrats to wicklow enjoy d3..hannon a fine footballer, clinical. also to mention sounds like atmosphere in second half light years ahead of anything served up in croke park today...

Yeah, very disappointing today.
Clare were a bit unlucky, had a few breaks gone their way the result could have been so different.
Conceding the goal so early was a disaster, and Clare were unlucky not to get a penalty early on. The sending off was also a killer and a bit harsh (although one of our wing forwards was lucky enough not to have gotton the line in 1st half)

It was a great fightback to get level with a few minutes remaining -but we missed an absolute glorious goal chance which would have won the game. Wicklow scored a point directly from this and tagged on 2 more. The extra man really told in last few mins.

Overall, a very exciting game and Clare put in a very brave performance.
Wicklow were a lot more clinical and had hardly any wides whereas Clare missed some bad scores particularly in the 1st half.

Gary Brennan was lording it in midfield and was a big loss when he went off injured. Conor Talty in fairness did well when he went out there.

David Turbridy & Tony Hannon were 2 best forwards on the field and both were outstanding from placed balls.

Alas, another year in Division 4 -but Clare gave it their best today and fortune just didn't look kindly upon them.
