U-21 final v Waterford

(Oldest Posts First)

Best of luck to the lads tonight. It is going to be very tough but Clare need a hurling title more than ever before. Should be a high scoring game against a very good Waterford team.

Great game & well done to Clare.1st title at this grade. Some momentum to carry to senior next year.Do Munster proud in the All-Ireland series.Hard Luck too to Waterford to which I thought was a great final probably the best in 2 r 3 years.

I don't think it has sunk in yet. What a day for Clare hurling. Conlon, Glynn and Honan were immense. Bring on Galway!

Fantastic display and performance by all concerned in the final, both Clare and Waterford. Total team performance by Clare. It was a joy to watch. Pride, spirit, strength, heart, battling associated with all Clare teams historically matched with maybe what we have been lacking since 98; the ability to take on markers, show no fear of long range shooting, a very high skill level, decision making.
It is important not to look too far into the future or settle for what was an elusive Munster title till now. We still must take one step at a time. Galway in the semi will be fierce opponents, a county facing similar questions that some had about the state of hurling in the Banner. Let's focus on a Saturday in August. Nothing more for now. There is a long Winter ahead were we can contemplate and consider a great under 21 side and dream perhaps of what might be to come. An Clár abú.

fair play on winning the u-21 lads. wee bit of a hollow victory for Tipp last year with all the controversy. looks like a good few players coming through
