Anthony Daly

Great player without a doubt but how do you Clare men/women rate him as a coach?

Yeah, Daly is a good coach so hopefully he'll be able to bring on the Dubs a bit.
They have to beat Antrim or else it will be seen as a bad year. Antrim will see this as a big chance themselves and no doubt all the focus will be on Dublin because of having a new high profile manager.

Just a few years ago Anthony Daly resigned as the successful manager of the Clare team claiming he needed to make a commitment to his young family. Now he is able to make a commitment to the Dublin team far away from his home base.Would love to have an explanation for that,JUST WONDERED WHAT PLAYED A KEY ROLE?

I would rate Anthony Daly very highly as a manager. He has gained a lot of experience even since he managed Clare. He will hopefully do well.

Great catch for Dublin. Was listening to him at Parnell Park yesterday and he certainly seems to have the right sort of attitude to get the best out of a panel that does have potential. Also like his references to football as a lesser sport! That's the sort of mentality Dublin hurling needs if it is ever to get anywhere.

Chalkie , check out the heading of the thread. If you don't have anything to contribute about the subject matter then why bother making an innane comment on a thread about hurling? Get over yourself mucks.

152186 Chalkie , I have been to the Brandywell a few times and have actually played on it not so long ago. Don't like it. Much prefer the ground 50 yards up the road but that's just my personal opinion. Brandywell playing surface isn't great (lobsided) and apart from the stand at the far side , the facilities are third world. but we try our best to look after it. i live to clare fans to say if your post is fair

Chalkie & Donedan. I'm no longer going to respond to either of you gulpins. This thread is about a Clareman who manages the Dublin hurling team. The comments you 2 have posted have nothing to do with the subject matter whatsoever.

What do the Clare folk think of Dubs taking an interest in your message board? As far as Anthony Daly goes I think it will be good for Dublin hurling. Already expections are higher and we are looking forward to the new season. I wonder how he will cope with the intense media attention.
