Bray Emmets captured their sixth consecutive Wicklow senior hurling championship title this afternoon thanks to a 0-23 to 2-8 victory over Carnew Emmets in Aughrim.
Having conceded a pair of Jack Doyle goals in the opening 15 minutes, the holders would eventually get motoring as the points of Christy Moorehouse and Diarmuid Masterson saw them trail by just a point (2-5 to 0-10) at half-time.
Moorehouse pointed Bray in front midway through the second-half and, from there, he’d hit three more on the spin to help open up a four-point gap.
Things would get worse for Carnew when they lost Conal McCrea to a second yellow card with seven minutes remaining, as more scores from Moorehouse (2) and Aaron Murphy saw Bray towards their 20th SHC crown in the Garden County.
