We held our Split the pot draw on Sunday night last 27/9/26 in the Lough Lene Inn, Collinstown

Under 16

Div 3 Championship Final 2026.

St Michaels               3-02

Inny Shamrocks      2-09

In perfect conditions for football St Michaels took to the field to contest the Div 3 under 16 final against Inny Shamrocks. 

Inny got to the pace of the game early and registered some fine points before St Michaels got going.  

Down by 3 points at half time St Michaels started the second half well but just couldn't get going in the match where inny kept the score board ticking over. 

Changes off the line put new energy into the game and in unlikely fashion a game of football broke out and St Michaels took the lead with time almost up. 

Inny galvanised and took scores deep into injury time to secure the championship. 

Congratulations to Inny players and management. 

Thanks to Referee Jim Rock and Multyfarnham GAA club for use of the facilities. 

Separately, I would like to thank all of our players and parents who have made 2026 a memorable season. Success can be measured by the amount of players who are part of this group regardless of defeat on Sunday. 

Special mention to trainer, coach and mentor Tjaye Higgins who's selflessness and dedication to this group is a massive credit to him. We are very lucky to have him.

Many thanks to all people who took part in our Memorial walk on Saturday evening last 26/9/26  to remember all our past Family, Friends, and Love ones who have gone to their eternal Rest.

Ballycomoyle Underage Training 

Our Final Underage training evening finishes up on Thursday evening next 1/10/26 from 6-30 - 7-30 pm for this Season.

The club is delighted to announce we are having two special guests on the evening for all our underage Boys and Girls.

Two Westmeath Leinster Captains  winners.

Westmeath Captain Ronan Wallace along with the Delaney Cup will be visiting along with our 

Westmeath Ladies Intermediate Captain Fiona Coyle along with the Leinster intermediate cup.

There will be food also on the evening. 

This evening is for all our underage Boys and Girls in our club along with all our parents and guardians.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Ballycomoyle Cake Shed open weekends.

UNDER-14 COUNTY FINAL CHAMPIONS! 

WHAT A GAME!

Our Under-14 girls competed in the County Final on Sunday against a very strong St. Mary’s Rochfordbridge team, and from the very first whistle, our girls put on an outstanding performance.

It was score for score throughout, with Rochfordbridge coming back strongly every time our girls pushed ahead. There was absolutely nothing between these two teams. It was a very physical, intense and exciting game, with every single one of our girls giving it everything they had.

We went into half-time with Rochfortbridge leading by just one point, 2-5 to 3-3 but as the second half began, it was once again score for score. The tension was incredible, and there was nothing between the two teams 

At the end of normal time, the game finished level meaning we headed into 10 minutes each way of extra time.

By this stage, on a warm day and after an incredibly physical 60 minutes, the girls were understandably tired, but they dug deep and continued to give absolutely everything for the club. Once again, there was nothing between the two teams.

Then came the final few minutes… the tension was unbelievable.

A penalty was awarded to Rochfordbridge, and with the game hanging in the balance, our goalie stepped up with another outstanding save, keeping the ball out and giving our girls the chance to finish the job.

And they did just that!

Ava Williams was absolutely phenomenal in goals, making some outstanding saves throughout the game and keeping us in the game when it mattered most.

Emma Williams had an outstanding game scoring 5-8 along with Roisin ONeill & Aoibhinn Murtagh getting scores on the day

A truly incredible achievement by a very special group of girls.

But this victory wasn’t just about the 15 girls who took to the field. It was the achievement of all 21 girls on the panel. Every single player played their part throughout the year, whether on the pitch or supporting their teammates from the sideline.

Every one of the 21 girls can hold their heads high. They wore their club colours with enormous pride and were an absolute credit to their parents, families, coaches, supporters and club.

A very proud day for Ballycmoyle. 

A huge and very special word of thanks to Brendan Williams for all his hard work, commitment and dedication to these girls throughout the year. His work behind the scenes has played a huge part in getting this team to where they are today.

Congratulations to every single one of our fantastic 21 girls. What a team. What a performance. What a day!
