Result.

Under 14 girls.

Our Under-14 girls welcomed St. Joseph’s to Ballycomoyle on Thursday evening last 14/5/26 and produced a fantastic team performance to secure their second win of the league on a scoreline of 3-7 to 2-7.

Playing against the wind in the first half, the girls showed great determination and teamwork from the throw-in. There was very little between the sides throughout the game, with both teams matching each other score for score in a closely contested battle.

A special mention must go to the four Under-12 girls who played up on the night and proved to be a huge asset to the team with excellent performances all over the pitch. Our goalkeeper also made some outstanding saves at crucial stages to keep Ballycomoyle in front.

Both teams showed great skill and commitment throughout, making it a very entertaining game for all in attendance. However, when the final whistle blew, it was Ballycomoyle who came away with the victory.

Final Score: Ballycomoyle 3-7, St. Joseph’s 2-7.

Well done to all the girls on a brilliant performance and another great league win.

Many thanks to St.Joseph's for a very Sporting game of football.

Also many thanks to Referee James Allard.

Junior men.

ACFL.

Division 7.

Our junior men's team made the long journey to Maryland on Sunday morning last 10/5/26 to take on the home side in Division 7 of the ACFL.

From the throw in this match both teams were up for it to get the two points on offer and it was the Ballycomoyle lads that started the better side shooting over 4 super points before Maryland registered their first score after 10 minutes as they gradually came back to the match. With the Ballycomoyle lads playing very well this was a super first half of football with the home side leading by the single point at half time.

Half time Score.

Ballycomoyle 1-07.

Maryland. 1-08.

The Ballycomoyle lads were very disappointed not to be well ahead in the first half of this match playing with a strong Breeze.

In the second half both teams continued where they left off in the first half playing some lovely football but it was Maryland lads that kicked over some fine scores in the closing 10 minutes. The Ballycomoyle lads never gave up against a very strong and experienced Maryland side.

Final score.

Maryland. 3-19 .

Ballycomoyle 4-10.

Note.

This a is a very young Ballycomoyle side and full of talent.

The future looks good for the coming years ahead. The Lads now look forward to the championship in a few weeks time.

Best wishes to Jason Malone who received a injury in the match.
