Lough Lene Gaels Hurling Club had player representation on the Westmeath panel of players selected for the playing of a Round 4 match of the All Ireland Tier 2 SHC competition - McDonagh Cup, Westmeath v Antrim. That match was played at Corrigan Park, Belfast on Saturday May 16th. Westmeath 2.20 Antrim 2.29, was the match result.

Lough Lene Gaels Hurling Club warmly and sincerely congratulates the Westmeath Senior grade Gaelic Football panel of players and team management on winning the 2026 Leinster Senior Gaelic Football Championship competition. Westmeath defeated Dublin 2.28 to 0.26 in the final, played at Dublin’s Croke Park on Sunday May 17th.
