Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club was represented on the Westmeath panel of players selected for a Leinster Intermediate Camogie Championship semi final fixture, Westmeath v Meath, played at Mullingar’s TEG Cusack Park on Saturday afternoon, April 25th. Westmeath 1.10 Meath 0.11 was the Match result, Westmeath the match winners by a margin of two (2) points. Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club warmly and sincerely congratulates the Westmeath panel of players, its own player representatives, and the team management, on winning last Saturday’s semi final fixture versus Meath, and therefore on qualifying for the Leinster Intermediate Camogie Championship final. Westmeath will play Laois in the 2026 Leinster Intermediate Camogie Championship final.
Lotto Information
Numbers drawn at a lotto draw held at Bartleys, Drumcree for a jackpot of €5300 on April 19th were, 3, 9, 11, and 30. The jackpot was not won. There were two Match 3 winners who each won €50, James Kiernan and Majella Forde. Lough Lene Gaels Camogie club now informs all relevant persons that the next lotto draw, for a jackpot of €5400, takes place on Sunday night May 2nd at the Abbey House in Fore.
Leinster Minor (C) Camogie Championship
Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club is represented on the Westmeath Minor Grade panel of players that has qualified for the Leinster Minor (C) Camogie Championship final, Westmeath v Meath. That fixture is scheduled to be played on Saturday May 2nd, with a scheduled 11am match starting time.
When Westmeath played Wicklow in a Round 1 Divisional fixture of Group 1 of the 2026 All Ireland Minor (B) Camogie Championship competition at the St Loman’s Mullingar GFC grounds on Sunday February 15th, Westmeath 7.13 Wicklow 0.04 was the match result. Wicklow have gone on to improve considerably in matches that they have since played, accumulating in the winning of the All Ireland Minor (B) Camogie Championship Sheild competition, defeating Carlow on a 0.07 to 0.06 scoreline in the final, played at Dublin’s St Peregrines sports grounds on Saturday April 25th. It should also be noted that Wicklow won the 2025 All Ireland Minor (C) Camogie cup Championship competition, defeating Tyrone on a 5.08 to 1.08 scoreline in the final of the said competition. Lough Lene Gaels Camogie club extends its sincere best wishes to the Westmeath panel of players and team management for next Saturday’s fixture v Wicklow.

U16 Camogie league
Lough Lene Gaels Camogie club played fixtures as scheduled in Rounds 1, 2 and 3 of group 1 of the U16 Camogie league. Thereafter a restructuring of the U16 league, as a consequence of which Lough Lene Gaels played a Round 4 fixture v Clonkill at Loughegar on Monday evening, April 20th. Lough Lene Gaels 2.07 (13) Clonkill 4.08 (20), was the result of that Round 4 match in the now restructured format of the U16 Camogie League.
