Leinster Minor Hurling Championship

Lough Lene Gaels Hurling Club and Turin Hurling Club both congratulate the Na Piarsaigh player representatives who are members of the Westmeath Minor grade Hurling panel of players that has made positive progress to date in the Leinster Minor Hurling Championship with victories versus Kerry 3.26 to 2.10 and Offaly 3.18 to 2.14. Lough Lene Gaels Hurling Club and Turin Hurling club both extend their sincere best wishes to the Westmeath Minor Grade Hurling Panel of players and team management for a forthcoming Leinster MH Championship match v Kilkenny.

Joe McDonagh Cup - Round 1

Lough Lene Gaels Hurling Club extends its sincere best wishes to the the Westmeath Hurling Senior Grade panel of players, its own player representives, and the team management for a Round 1 match of the Tier 2 All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship for the McDonagh Cup, Westmeath v London, to be played at McGovern Park, Ruislip on Sunday April 19th.

Lotto

Numbers drawn for a jackpot of €5200 in a lotto draw at the Lough Lene Inn, Collinstown on Sunday night April 5th were, 13, 18, 19 and 29. The jackpot was not won. There was one Match 3 winner, Andy Reilly, who won €100. David Aughey, Jeffreystown, Monilea, won a €100 Daybreak Shop Collinstown voucher. Next lotto draw for a jackpot of €5300, takes place at Bartleys, Drumcree on Sunday night, April 19th.

Leinster U20 Hurling Championship

Na Piarsaigh had player representation on the Westmeath U20 Hurling panel selected for a fixture of the Leinster U20 Hurling Championship, Westmeath v Kerry, that was scheduled to be on Saturday April 11th at Castlepollard’s Mergon Park. As Kerry conceded that fixture, no match was actually played.
