Ladies football.

Friday 12th September

Junior B ladies Quarter Final.

Result.

Ballycomoyle 7-18

Athlone 1-08

In St Lomans

8pm.

Referee Paul O Malley

Our junior ladies were out on Friday evening last 12/9/25 in Junior B quarter final.

After what has been a challenging campaign, this was the chance to really make a difference.

On the Lomans 3G pitch and under lights both teams were up for it. From the first throw in Ballycomoyle were up for the fight, some fantastic football and teamwork merited fantastic scoring, Athlone had very little answers to the Ballycomoyle determination. The girls hammered in their dominance and went in at HT with a good lead.

In the 2nd half and with the weather turning, Athlone started to come back into this. But two more goals from the  Ballycomoyle ladies ended the challenge. Our backs stood firm keeping the attack at bay. From 1-19, our girls showed what it means to wear a Ballycomoyle jersey. Full-time whistle and Ballycomoyle were into a 3rd Junior B semi final. Time / date TBC

Thanks to supporters for travelling. And to referee Paul O Malley. And to St Lomans for providing Venue.

Under 12

Go Game's Report

Our under 12 ladies played there final match away to Shandonagh on Tuesday evening last 2/9/24

against a very good shandonagh side our girls really put in a fantastic effort on the night, The scoreline didn't reflect the effort put in by  ladies and they'll be back even stronger next year.

Many thanks to the parents for travelling over and to the referee who explained all his decisions to the Girls.

Go Games.

Well done to the U10 girls who travelled the short distance to Multyfarnham on Saturday morning last 12/9/25 to play the next round of go games. They played very well and showed great team work and passing skills which led to brilliant scores.

Thanks to Multyfarnham for hosting us and to all the parents who brought their children. Thanks to the girls who played their hearts out!

Under 12 Boys.

Ballycomoyle under 12 Boys.

Our two U12 teams played on Friday evening  last 12/9/25 Blues at home to Mullingar Shamrocks and the whites travelled to Loughnavalley to play Lilliput Gaels.

The home game was a very competitive game of football and well done to our boys.

The away game was a tough game but well done to our younger boys who played very well.

Thanks to all the parents for bringing the boys to training and the games! Well done all!

Congratulations to both teams and their management teams fantastic to have two under 12 teams playing top level football.

St Michaels.

St Michaels Under18 team travelled to Milltownpass on Friday evening last 12/9/25 to take on the home side in the Semi final of the championship. It was a cracking game and St Michaels against the wind went in at half time trailing by 5 pts. However, Milltownpass started the second half the stronger and gradually pulled away. St Michaels closed the scoring on a number of occasions but could not bridge the gap and Milltownpass ran out winners.

Team Management would like to take this opportunity to thank all the players and their parents for the support and commitment during the year. Well done everyone.
