Scór Sinsir
The Leinster Final of Scór Sinsir was held on Sunday last, April 6th, in The Downs GAA Centre. Baile Uí Chumaoil was represented in the Bailéad Ghrúpa competition by Aoibhínn Dolan, Zara Geraghty, Naomi Fitzpatrick, Blathnaid Daly and Cliodhna Daly. The girls performed beautifully and saw off tough opposition from the groups from Wexford, Longford and last year's champions, Ballinamere from Offaly to be crowned this year's Leinster champions.
The group will now represent our club, county and province in the All-Ireland final, which will be held in the TF Theatre in Castlebar, Co Mayo on Saturday, April 26th. Anyone interested in getting tickets for this event should contact Catherine Daly.
Congratulations is extended to the girls on this fantastic achievement and they are wished the very best of luck in Castlebar at the end of the month.
Best wishes are also extended to the other Westmeath qualifiers for the All-Ireland - Hugo Slevin (St. Joseph's) in the Recitation competition and the Set Dancers from The Downs.
