Lough Lene Gaels, with a large number of supporters in attendance, won a high scoring replay of the final of the 2024 Slevins Coaches JAHC, played at Loughegar on Sunday December 15th.

The key to victory for Lough Lene Gaels in this replay was a very good first half team performance, when playing with the aid of a useful breeze. Lough Lene Gaels 6.05 Clonkill 1.04, was the match scoreline at half time, Marcus Kennedy scoring 4.02 of the first half Lough Lene Gaels total of 6.05. Clonkill, a club that has had great success in the winning of this competition during the course of the last decade, came very much into this high scoring JAHC final in the second half, hitting good quality scores in the process. Lough Lene Gaels continued thoug to play with the same levels of due diligence and alertness which they had ably displayed in the first half of this replay. Lough Lene Gaels won this fixture by a margin of eight points. Lough Lene Gaels team captain Eric Fitzpatrick was presented with the Junior A Hurling Championship cup by Frank Mescal, Chairman of the Westmeath GAA Board.
